Please tell me your progress
Sleeved Aug 6. Surgery weight was 202 and my current weight is 155.6. I tend to stay the same weight for about a week then see a 2-4 pound drop all at once. Actually been sitting at 155 a couple more days than I expected so I do wonder if I might be leaving the honeymoon phase already...

Anyone else bad at taking pictures?
I'm 4 months postop and am ecstatic with my weightloss so far. I'm down 70 pounds since I've started the whole process, and I did take preop pictures but I've hardly taken any pictures beyond a hand full of head shots. Anyone else happy with their body but still camera shy?

Upcoming surgery
Because getting proper nutrition in is so hard after weight loss surgery, a lot of surgeons wont want you to get pregnant for 18 months following your sleeve or bypass. Its just not safe for you or the baby.

Liquid diet phase.. loose stools?
Yes it caused it for me. Of course now I'm constipated and would gladly welcome some loose stools.

Advice
Know that weight loss stalls happen and that its natural. Prepare mentally for it. The first one hits almost everyone at 3 weeks out. The first weeks after surgery your body is adjusting and some people even gain a few pounds. You wont have done anything wrong and there is nothing you need to do to "fix" it. Just follow your surgeons instructions and try to stay off the scale but once a week. Take measurements often so you have something else to measure yourself by than the scale.

Know your insurance coverage
Good call asking those questions, hopefully many can benefit from your looking into it at your hospital.

what do you take with your multi?
My multi gives me nausea when I take it. I take it right before bed to try to minimize the effects. Is there any particular food items I can take with it to curb the nausea? Any help is appreciated!

Wow! Well done!!

Pureed food ideas
My doctor allowed canned tuna, salmon, and chicken in the pureed stage. Find a recipe for Ricotta Bake - a lot of people rave about that. Refried beans and guacamole. Hummus. Personally I love Indian food and a lot of their dishes are in pureed form.

Interesting Article about Vitamin Patches
I personally don't use them as I dislike the idea (tried birth control patches in my twenties and hated them). But I also have felt like using them without trials to see that they actually work is taking a real gamble with your health. I'm glad PatchMD's clinical study is having good results, though. That's good news for a lot of people.

What did you tell people at work?
I’ve told everyone at my work. Everyone has been real supportive (to my face anyway)

Teeth decaying
So I’m members on 2 groups on Facebook- a bypass group and a sleeve group. The bypass group talks a lot about having dental problems but when I search on the sleeve group I don’t see much. So I thought I’d ask on here. Anyone a couple years out from getting sleeved - how are your teeth?

4 days to go
Is your hospital one of the ones that evacuated??

How old were you when?
38. My BMI only got up to a qualifying weight at this age. No regrets!

Good luck Liz!

Exercise after Surgery
My focus is on cardio right now. I get on the treadmill and go high incline low speed to make sure I don’t hurt myself while I build up endurance.

Starting my Pre-Op Liquid Diet - it's TOUGH
Yes it is tough! But a small part of me was grateful for it. It helped me distinguish between physical hunger and head hunger. I started to learn to ignore head hunger “YOURE NOT IN CHARGE ANYMORE!” I’m a big fan of premier. I’m sticking with it even postop, there is a good variety of flavors and I like them all.

4 months post op--disney??
Odds are you’ll be okay. Maybe spend the extra on travel insurance with a cancellation refund just in case. Have fun!

Update
I can’t help but feel incredibly blessed with this surgery. I’m 6 weeks post op and have lost 18 pounds since my procedure. . My BMI was at the low end and it’s right around what I should have lost according to that chart that’s popular here and other WLS sites. Ican fit comfortably in every single item of clothing I own! I’m not feeling too much restriction and haven’t thrown up yet. But my surgeon does have me on a very conservative diet progression and I’m just now starting puréeds. Hopefully my streak of not vomiting will continue.
