September 28, 20187 yr Congrats on getting your date! I can't offer much advice since I just got my date (November 6th) a few weeks ago myself but I can recommend staying on these forums because they are helpful and supportive,
October 2, 20187 yr Congratulations!! My biggest advice is just to follow all of your surgeons instructions. If they say two weeks of liquid, do it... don't cheat with one bite of something etc. You'll be great! This surgery has been the best thing I ever did for myself and my health. I feel like the time leading up to the surgery, all the appointments, deciding which surgery was the best for me, getting insurance approval, to me that was the hard part.
October 2, 20187 yr Know that weight loss stalls happen and that its natural. Prepare mentally for it. The first one hits almost everyone at 3 weeks out. The first weeks after surgery your body is adjusting and some people even gain a few pounds. You wont have done anything wrong and there is nothing you need to do to "fix" it. Just follow your surgeons instructions and try to stay off the scale but once a week. Take measurements often so you have something else to measure yourself by than the scale.
