I don’t see why not. Sounds like a pretty good idea to me!

That’s good! eh I’ve had an okay day...this gas is no joke. It’s getting the best of me. I need relief! Nothing is helping.
Everyone swears that walking is the best thing for the gas. Not sure if that worked for me or not, but it helped with the soreness.

Absolutely! ❤️

I think part of pre-op dieting is getting it in your head that food is NOT something that you need to turn to all the time. It hit me during my liquid only pre-op. I see people on here who cry at the thought of not eating like they previously had, but that’s kind of the point. I know I can eventually eat the things I love (I want tacos so fn bad right now) but I have to change my relationship with food first. Good luck! 😘

That’s exactly how I was right after surgery. They tried to get me to eat a red popsicle and drink some red Powerade. I threw it up. Looked like blood and I freaked out! Funny now, wasn’t funny then! Glad you did well!

I only had to do liquids for a week post-surgery, then I got to move to puréed food. Almost everything is hard to keep down. Puréed chicken salad, scrambled eggs - all came right back up. I did have a couple of Doritos that my nephew didn’t eat, but I mostly just sucked on them until they dissolved. Vienna sausages go down pretty well. A deviled egg. Lentil Soup. My mom made some crockpot beef veggie soup that I tolerated pretty good. I think it’s trial or error with me.

Idk what’s worse... being stopped up, or being like me - floodgates are open! 🙊 Hope everyone finds some comfort.

I’ve ordered the Soups. They’re good, and pretty filling. I got the variety pack first, then ordered whole boxes of the beef and chicken bullion.

I’m about the same as you. Very disappointed. Going for my two week appointment tomorrow.

What foods did you buy for purée? Please help I’m eating eggs. And still so weak. The Protein Shakes make me constipated, ThankU
I threw up a scrambled egg this morning. I can’t decide if I’m throwing up bc I’m eating too much or eating too fast. I know it’s not bc I’m not chewing enough.

Being in the office is very different than being home - my mind is totally occupied with food and I feel hungry here (was not really the case at home...possibly I'm not drinking enough liquids?). Doing great except I sometimes get an intense gripping pain when something hits my stomach after swallowing, especially anything not really a liquid (like Jello or yogurt). 2 tablespoons of ff plain greek yogurt also caused terrible diarrhea last night. Supposed to transition to try eggs and other soft solids later this week, yikes - I'm terrified of my stomach's reaction!
My stomach gargles likes crazy any time I have anything that’s not liquid!

The same happened to me. I woke up with a pad on. Also, according to my paperwork many women start during or soon after surgery. The nurses are use to it.

I started the next day. HEAVY! And for like a week, when I’m never more than 3 Days!

I take small sips to wash my mouth out.

I teach 4th grade. I had the first week off for holidays (sleeved 12/28) and I took another week.

So I am starting my liquid diet in a few days. My clinic has us do a 10 day liquid diet. My surgery is on January 18. I am a bit worried about being able to stick with it. Do you have any tips or tricks that helped you be successful?
BariatricPal has some Soups that I liked. I got the variety pack. They were good when I was sick of sweet shakes.

6 days in and 11 ponds lost! Good yes but can I do this?
You can absolutely do it! If I can do it, I’m pretty sure anyone can!

Best wishes and prayers to you!

For one night:
Loose clothes to go home in.
Something to read (such as magazines, which you can just pick up and put down in between walking, sipping, sleeping, walking sipping)
Gas-x strips
Soap, toothpaste and toothbrush.
Nightwear/underwear
I stayed 3 nights and 4 days and so in addition I took and found helpful:
Kindle
Face wipes
Lip Balm
Phone and charger
Shampoo and body wash
3 x nightwear
I spent most of the time in between the walking etc either in bed sleeping or watching tv/reading or being checked over by the health professionals, especially in the first day. My husband brought a pillow to put over my tummy so the seat belt didn't dig in for the drive home. Otherwise the hospital provided everything else I wanted.

Slippers are a must have. The non-skid kind. I was only in for one night. Chapstick was the most used item I brought!

It was like three weeks after insurance approved me that I got sleeved! Insurance was the hard part!

I’m a teacher and they’re nosy as f! I told my friends, but other than that, I just didn’t tell them beforehand. I don’t really care if anybody knows. Tell them it’s none of their damn business! (Lol! I wish, but know you’re not really gonna say that!)

Oh no! Not what I want to hear! I’m taking Multivitamins and Biotin trying to curb Hair loss. My hair is so thin already. I did read some good reviews of Keranique on the Ulta website.
