JLT281 reacted to Myaiku_Kuraitani in Finally Reached My Goal Weight
Finally got the last stubborn pound off and made it to my goal weight of 130 lbs. 🙂 I've lost all 143 lbs of my excess weight. Never thought that I could do that. Quite an accomplishment.
Went from 273 lbs in 2015 to 130 yesterday. I'm my ideal weight. Now I'm like, "To maintain or not to maintain at this weight?"
Just debating on if I should add a 10 lb gap just in case of regain. Thinking maybe, but I dunno. Finally got here after a week of being stalled out. I don't have a before picture... At least not a full body one, because I hated my body back then so full body pictures were as existent as mythical creatures. Sorry, lol even though I came off as being really confident to people who met me back then, I wasn't. I'm also trying lighter colored clothes because they're not within my comfort zone. I always thought light clothes made me look bigger.
I always wanted to wear clothes like the ones in this picture when I was in my teens and early twenties. I couldn't til now. I'm 28 going on 29 and decided to have my fun with different styles of clothing.

JLT281 reacted to Mattymatt in Judgy People Suck! But you have to laugh......
At some point you have to say f**k these people! I don't really care about people's responses and if they ask, I am going to tell them the truth because I am not ashamed to admit that I am one of the 90% for whom diet and exercise alone did not work. It's also a great way to screen people. If they're going to judge you based on that, you don't want them in your life .... period.

JLT281 got a reaction from ninabrr in Scared and debating
I was apprehensive as well. I finally got to a point where I can't go on living like this. Having the sleeve done was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I don't regret it one bit. I read a lot before I decided and there were stories that could have easily changed my mind but I know everybody reacts differently to these changes. I'm 8 weeks post op now and have had zero complications. I walk 15-20 miles a week (since day 2 post op) and just recently started weight training. I've never really felt a restriction with food intake. I don't over eat. I don't have any issues with getting my fluids and best of all I've lost 75 lbs since my 2 week pre op appointment on 11/15. Basically, I've changed my lifestyle for the better.

JLT281 got a reaction from Byronatric in Driving after a gastric sleeve
I think I drove to get my pain meds after I was discharged and taken home by a friend. I never had to take the meds and was driving pretty regularly the first week.

JLT281 got a reaction from Gretchel Z in Waking up in The Binder
I didn't have a "binder" either. I don't really see the purpose. My incisions were very small. They pulled my stomach out through my navel and I didn't really even know I had an incision there until the FNP told me.

JLT281 got a reaction from HealthierGirlLife2018 in 11/28/17 Sleevers-Where you at?!
I was sleeved 11/29 and have lost 28 lbs since surgery date and 50 lbs since 2 week pre op liquid diet. No complications, no issues with getting my recommended fluids in. My doctor has never stressed getting Protein in. They want veggies first then protein. Seems counter intuitive to most recommendations I've read on here. I'm just starting my soft food stage today.

JLT281 got a reaction from Autumnsnow in How much walking?
I'm 6 days postop and I've been walking almost 3 miles per day (1 hour) since day 3 postop. It has really helped to relieve soreness in my abdominal muscles.
