    Hair Loss

hair loss due to vitamin deficiency is NOT the same as male pattern baldness (and women can get it too). when I had my first child I went half on the sides of my head and if she stuck her hands in my hair she would come out with a fistful and it didn't hurt. Doc said it was because I was no longer on prenatal vitamins and my folic acid had dropped suddenly. so I stay on a regular B50 complex and my hair thickened right up. Long story short, If you keep up with your B vitamins (all of them actually) you should not have a problem, but Folic Acid and Biotin, strengthen your hair root. Do not skimp on your vitamin if you are concerned about hair loss and up your B's if you notice hair loss. Iron, D and Zinc will also promote hair growth when combined with B complex Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Yes! I live in a rural town in Colorado and the nearest support group is 130 miles away in the evenings, so going is impossible. My surgery date is set for 12/12. I am excited. It will be better to get skinny with someone than do this all alone. I have met a wonderful lady at our group meeting and she and I are talking and it helps. Hopefully Beverly gets on here and the three of us can get to know less of each other, hehehe. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post-Op practical jokes

When I had my EDG done, I was told I had stage 2 Barrett's disease, I told my parents who automatically assumed I have stage 2 esophageal cancer. At that moment I decided that is what I am telling people, because when I mentioned to some that I am considering bariatric surgery I got the "Oh your taking the easy way out huh?" and they all make me feel horrible. ALL of them are in great shape and do not have a weight problem, and I didn't either until I got kidney cancer. So, I told my parents that I am having the section of my esophagus removed and a portion of my stomach to keep any cancer from spreading. which is true, but I have Barrett's not cancer. (though I was told if I do not I can get cancer since I have had cancer elsewhere) Amazing attitude transformation about my surgery. My father has Barrett's, and takes meds it. at first he was skepticam until I mentioned the big C, now he is all for the surgery, when 2 months ago he thought I was being lazy. I will never reveal it, but your idea makes me really chuckle. you can use this idea too if you want. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using BariatricPal mobile app
