Absolutely what kcgirl061 said....I'm a year and 2 months out I can keep up with my 21 year old on a obstacle course wow never thought I'd see the day ...trust me... you need to tell them because they will support you and encourage you through your tough times be very open.....my kids are so proud of me and thankful I'm not just sitting around .....my daughter said since I had this done I've been so happy and of course nobody really knows what goes on inside my head but I do know that I have been tremendously happy and yes there is always those mind games that your mind puts you through during your weight loss but your kids will listen to you and they'll acknowledge and they'll help ....I'm going to be a grandma for the first time and I'm so thankful I've made this change I'll be able to play with my grandchild and keep up and not be worn out Sent from my LGL84VL using BariatricPal mobile app

And..... I bought a book about what you need to know before and after the sleeve surgery ...but I wish I had it before surgery.... I have lots of pictures prior to surgery but I never took my measurements and now I wish I would had to know the difference how big around compared to how much smaller but I guess you just put those old jeans on and those old shirts on and you got a pretty good idea.... a clean house is also a plus because when you come home and you're just sitting there.... you see all the little things that you missed .... but as you start feeling better trust me you're going to be so bored you're going to be cleaning your house LOL Sent from my LGL84VL using BariatricPal mobile app

Oh surly they have to be here with us....... I have to admit I originally did not have any interest in watching the show but when weight loss surgery was brought to my attention by my doctor that's when I started watching it and I learned a great deal from it I learned what the surgery looks like and I learned what I would be going through as well I still watch it it's been over a year and a half now that I've been watching it and I think I learned from it every time I watch. Lol I hear ya !!! Isn't great !!! I was a size 24-26 3x. In October my mom and I went to Kohls ...I grabbed a 17 ...lol to big ...grabbed a 15 to big..a 13 not bad. Got to check out and wow I looked at my mom and said ""oh my God"" ""those are juniors size 13""" and the cash register lady said is that okay? and I was like YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! after wearing them for 3 days I thought dam should have gone another size smaller. lol Sent from my LGL84VL using BariatricPal mobile app

I too was scared its the not knowing and its ok ...just breath..... I know its overwhelming....I was scared ... you can do it!!!!! I read my binder over and over that I got from the Dr. It talks about the surgery, nutrition, all the nutrients you have to keep up on and what happens if you don't. But by re-reading over and over it all begins to click... Then I also bought a book on line specifically for the surgery I had ...its been a year and I still re-read now I can say "ah! Ha! I've done that" or "ah! I've felt that way" and that's why or ah! "I need to eat more of this and then I feel better physically" Sent from my LGL84VL using BariatricPal mobile app

I completely understand .....I've had a lady at work go on and on for months it's funny she never said anything about it prior to me having the surgery but afterwards all I heard was "you can die" " you can die" " you can die" well, I'm not dead, I'm very healthy now and I'm doing great. Before surgery I had to go see a psychiatrist the psychiatrist asked me why do you want to have this surgery and I thought to myself oh my God if I was to tell him that my brother called me a fat f#cking B#tch he wouldn't let me have surgery so I said the basic thing... that everybody says ...for my health. lol which really has been for my health because he can't call me fat no more.
