  1. What kind of exercise are you doing?
  2. I had my surgery October 30th. Everything went great was sent home after two nights in the hospital. Then the next week I got dehydrated and spiked a fever. I had to go back to the hospital. My lung had collapsed slightly and I was dehydrated. I was in the hospital 4 nights. Now I’m home and I’m struggling to drink enough. My dr told me just to focus on getting Powerade down because my electrolytes kept dropping in the hospital but I hate the sugar free flavors. I have to take the nausea meds every 6 hours or I’m super sick. I haven’t had any protein but ordered some isoprotein to add to my Powerade. I just feel like this is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I did fine drinking before and now it’s so difficult. I am down 17 lbs.
  3. I didn’t have a blood clot but my lung collapsed. I keep getting dehydrated. My dr told me my goal was 3 bottles of sugar free Powerade a day which I’m struggling to do. I just set times I have to have them gone by. I could be doing purees but I haven’t. I’m still struggling so much with the liquids I’m just holding off
  4. I was struggling with the liquids too and ended up back in the hospital for 4 days. They are the most important part. My dr said to drink 2-3 sugar free powerades a day to keep my electrolytes up. It’s super hard but I just set times I have to have it finished by. Seems to help. I almost mix them water because I think they are too sweet
  5. I am two weeks out since I had my sleeve. So I’m able to start puréed foods. I’m so nervous. I don’t know what to try or where to even begin. It’s all I can do to get the liquids in. I’m feeling a little bit of stress. I would like to find someone who’s around the same stages as me or a little further on that I could talk too. I just feel like I’m lost.
  6. I take the bariatric fusion. They have them in orange cream flavor on amazon and I like them a lot. They are the only ones that don’t taste bad to me.
  7. With the premier protein I have to put some ice in it and blend it up to make the consistency different so I can drink it.
  8. I’m on full liquids now. I stocked up on protein shakes and jello from sams club. I got unjury chicken protein broth from online. I got chicken broth and sugar free Powerade from Walmart. I have started looking on bariatricpal.com. They have some recipes for the other stages but I haven’t bought anything for them yet
  9. I have to have protein shakes if I feel hungry. I thought I was starving when I could only have clear liquids but now that I’m on full liquids the shakes really help.
  10. I have to take protonix for acid and Zofran every 6 hours or I’m incredibly sick. I’m 6 days out from surgery. The dr said that right now it is okay for me to rely on the medication right now. Has your doctor gave you anything ? If not maybe you should ask
