  1. I have a protein shake every morning and sometimes one in the evening too. I'm 4 months post sleeve. Down 62 pounds.
  2. My surgery was 8 weeks ago. I do feel hunger and I do feel full when I eat, BUT hunger and fullness both feel completely different than they did before surgery. Give it some time. You are still learning what your new normal is. The way I know I'm full is I start to burp. Sometimes it's only a couple of bites in depending what I'm eating.
  3. Sleeved December 19th and I've lost 40 pounds.
  4. My surgery was Dec 19th. I was down 32 pounds from surgery diet, but I hit the dreaded three week stall the end of last week. Not only am I in a stall, but I am GAINING weight. This is so frustrating to me! I think it is probably water weight as I'm sure I was dehydrated before, but it really is discouraging. Did anyone else gain a few pounds in their stall?
  5. You are probably just doing too much. Try to kick back and relax with a heating pad. At that stage post op my incisions were sore too.
  6. Sleeved on 12/19. I get dizzy every time I stand up. Also I get SUPER tired every time I eat. Anyone else experience this?
  7. Has anyone tried to eat tuna yet? At what food stage did you try it? How did it sit in your new tiny tummy?
  8. What is everyone doing for incision care? Bandaids or open to air? What are you cleaning with? If open to air, on what post-op day?
  9. I had my sleeve surgery on the 19th. I'm feeling pretty good overall. I'm struggling to get my fluids in. I have had diarrhea since surgery. It makes me feel like something is wrong because I see everyone saying they had constipation.
  10. I am on my first full day post-op. Every sip I take causes my new tummy to HURT. How long until that goes away? Over all I can't believe how much better I feel than yesterday. The first night after surgery was ROUGH.
  11. I am getting sleeved on Dec 19th in Tijuana at BariatricPal Hospital. Can I ask why you are getting sleeved if you are already at goal with Lap Band?
  12. How do you get the count down that tracks your weight loss?
  13. I'm also the 19th. Pre-op diet is pretty difficult for me. I feel hungry almost all the time. How is it for you? I'm going to Mexico so I'm pretty nervous. My dad was asking me about infection rates last night. Ugh.
  14. I am going to have surgery in Mexico on Dec 19th. I was planning to watch Netflix and Hulu while I recover, but I just found out my US versions won't work in Mexico. So I'm pretty bummed and worried what is going to occupy my time for 5 days in a foreign country by myself.
  15. My surgery is Dec 19th. I'm going to DR Illan at Bariatricpal in Tijuana. Is anyone else going there too?
  16. So I read through the entire 27 pages of this thread and found everyone scheduled for 12/19/2017. Are any of you going to Bariatricpal in Tijuana with Dr Illan? I'm trying to find people who will be there the same day as me. I'm on my liquid pre-op diet now and I am SO hungry. I just keep reminding myself this is WORTH it!
  17. My surgery is in a couple of weeks. I'm going to Tijuana alone so I want to make sure I have everything I will need. I also don't want to take a bunch of stuff I won't need. I will obviously take my passport. Will I need my drivers license, credit cards or debit card? How much cash will I need? Ugh I'm stressing over this.
  18. I really did ask this question from a place of innocent curiosity. I appreciate the honest answers. Since asking the question I have actually had a rude awakening on why I SHOULD have used more discretion on who I told. I had a lady at work come up to me the other day and say she had heard I'm going to Mexico for surgery soon. Now this is a person I probably would have told on my own had we had a conversation about it, but it bothered me. I got to thinking about it and realized the office is buzzing with people talking about me. I've experienced that enough in my past. Now when I'm at work all I can think about is people fat shaming me behind my back. So yeah, I regret being so open. Plus I'm super scared to fail now that everyone knows.
  19. My surgery is not until December 19th. I requested off through the 26th and will return to work on the 27th. I'm lucky to have an understanding boss so if I need more time I can have it. I also have the option of working half days or working from home. Good luck to you! When is your surgery?
  20. I am a small town Iowa girl. The only people we tip around here are the waitress and the delivery driver. I have seen people mention tipping the valet on her. How much do you tip at a time? Is there anyone else I need to be prepared to tip? Do o tip anyone at the hotel? At the hospital? Help?
  21. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Sounds pretty miserable.
