    Got My Date

Yeah, I was just on Amazon yesterday with my GF who also had WLS back in July. The prices seem reasonable I’m going to go back on today!

I really am proud of myself! However, i lost over 100lbs before and sadly put it back on; which was my reason for having surgery. This time is going to be different ...there’s no going back!!!

Awwwww...you guys in this forum are the absolute best! Thanks for checking up on me. [emoji18] The holidays went well, i was still at my moms recuperating when all the family came over. I’m feeling much better now and I have my support garments to thank for that lol. How was your holiday? Did you get any Black Friday shopping done?

UPDATE: Hi guys...I’m doing great! This past week was a little touch and go I had that abdominal pain creep back up on me but i find that as long as a wear some sort of supportive undergarments I’m fine. It takes some getting used to and a little uncomfortable at times but I’m just gonna go ahead and put it out there, support garments are a must!!! Thank me later lol Still on purée phase. Haven’t been eating much. Mainly, my protein drinks, sugar free Puddin, applesauce and of course plenty of water and crystal light (try warming it up like hot tea, its so satisfying). Thanksgiving was lovely! My family seems to be putting everything behind us and we’re all moving forward. [emoji7] This weekend was great as i got to spend some time with my daughters and my BF in the mountains. We rented a cabin and the girls went zip lining. Although, i finally meet the weight requirement [emoji23] it’s still too soon, doc said i should stay away from vigorous activity for at least another three weeks. I CANT WAIT TO GET BACK IN THE GYM!! [emoji30]. Haven’t weighed myself since my post op appointment; I was 275 then. Going to weigh myself tomorrow morning *fingers crossed* I’m down another five. Looking to return to work tomorrow...finally things are starting to get back to normal!

Hey my surgery buddy! So happy to hear everything is still going well. I too went to my first post op appointment. UPDATE: The dr said I’m healing nicely and wants me to report back to see him in a month. He says keep following my plan and was a little upset i haven’t started my vitamin regime but i ordered them all today on amazon and sitting here waiting for delivery as we speak! While i was at the drs i complained of excruciating and shooting pain in my lower abdomen whenever i got to sit down or if i turn suddenly. I have a big stomach but Dr said it from the Pannus hanging so low and gave me an abdominal binder to help with support. Now, the pain is minimal when i go to sit, I’m walking around more and getting up and downstairs better; i even did some light cleaning today. Dr said i could start the purée stage since I’m tolerating full liquid diet so well, so i have been on Pinterest all morning looking up Gastric Bypass Stage 2 purée recipes and ideas. You will be surprised what you find, some people get pretty crafty! [emoji23] Anyways, keep up with the good work and keep us updated!

I can certainly understand your mental state right now and hopefully your family does too! That liquid diet was tough and i only made it my the grace of God! I pretty much worked and stayed to myself because i knew i would miserable and didn’t want to push that onto anyone else. I will keep you in my prayers; but you got this just keep pushing! FYI drink even when you’re not thirsty that might help stave off hunger and maybe even those headaches. [emoji1488]

I was allowed three shakes and three additions (yogurt, unsweetened applesauce, and fat free sugar free pudding and all the jello I️ wanted) it was hard but I made it. It wasn’t easy but it’s doable! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Awwww that’s so sweet but everyone’s body heals differently. I actually stop taking my pain meds too because i feel like they were messing up my pouch. Now that i have stopped taking them, the nausea and sickness and everything else i was feeling is gone and I’m back to only drinking clears and i feel fine! I feel like the pain is bearable that i can managed without them. I don’t want to take those Percocet if I’m going to have to fill my pouch to keep it from being irritated by the meds.

    RNY November 2017

I only wouldn’t recommend because everything isn’t for everybody. Glad to here your taking down liquids and soft stuff well. I for one don’t think you should be too concerned that you’re not feeling full especially when your taking such small sips. If you feel it’s a problem i would contact the doc. But how about that GAS!???? ...i thought i was gonna die [emoji23]

    RNY November 2017

Yes I️ understand! I haven’t had anymore just gonna stuck with the protein shakes and other approved stuff on the week 2 diet! But i had to do something because that Percocet was killing me!

    RNY November 2017

Hi guys [emoji1480]! Just 4 days out and I’m actually feeling okay (TODAY). I pray for those who are not having a successful recovery and that things start to get better. [emoji1488] UPDATE: Honestly, the past few days I was feeling like crap! I was nauseated and dizzy but because Ive had nothing but clear liquids in my system nothing was coming up, AND THE GAS...has been constant! The gas has been the worse thing to deal with during these past few days. But I kept drinking my liquids and walking around, which seemed to help a little. Since, I have a allergy to codeine I couldn’t take Tylenol 3, which is generally the standard, but they gave me Percocet. Finally, this morning I couldn’t take it anymore so decided to have some oatmeal (which I️ do not suggest), i had two spoonfuls and immediately started feeling like a new person! I stop feeling nauseated, light headed and dizzy. I’m back up and walking around; I️ even went for a walk outside today! I️m so glad it worked because it had gotten so bad yesterday that I️ was in bed all day sick as a dog. So, after the oatmeal incident this morning my husband and I both agree that the Percocet is just too much to handle on an empty stomach and I’ve decided to start the week 2 diet early, just so i can tolerate the meds. And So far so good [emoji4][emoji1474]
