    Regain

I have regained a bit as well and have been wanting to do the two week reset. I have heard from others that it works, but am not sure myself. I keep telling myself "I'll start tomorrow" then lunch rolls around and I am so hangry that I give in to food and not the shakes. I don't have a "team" and have never really had one. My doctor's office has always seemed uninterested and very in and out. The last time I talked with my doctor about the weight gain, they suggested I take multivitamins and do some crunches. I have IC so going to the gym is difficult for me, so I feel like the reset would be most beneficial. When I finally do start, I will share my results.

Two Years Out and Major Weight Regain

I like to use protein shakes because most foods and seasonings cause me to flare. I was also told by my dr to continue with protein shakes for as long as I can

Two Years Out and Major Weight Regain

I'm a little over a year out and wasn't too big to begin with, so weight loss wasn't as huge, but I was down from 230 to 167. I went to the dr yesterday and weighed 190. I have been going to the gym, which is also hard for me to do since I have IC and working out causes flare ups. (Anyone else with IC on here?) I do eat bad sometimes, but have stayed on track for the most part as most "bad" foods also cause a flare up. And every protein shake I have tried for the past few months have been making me SO nauseous. Anyone have any suggestions? I wear a size medium in tops and a 10/12 in jeans. Although my size hasn't changed, the pounds have and I feel like you can see it. I have been so down about it and have been strict with what I eat. I need tips and motivation :(
  4. I've got some extra skin on my stomach and my arms. It's not very noticeable to others, but I can see it. What are you skin removal experiences? How long did it take to recover? Were you able to return to work soon after? Scarring? I'm considering having it done but not sure if it is worth it since I don't have a lot.

When did you start losing hair?

I guess I noticed hair loss about 3 months out. I still have thick hair so I wasn't affected by it too much. When I'm washing my hair, I can sometimes see strands falling out... a little scary but I'm trying different shampoos to see if it'll help.

I have a bunch to get rid of too... For those of you that use Ebay, has it been successful? How much do items usually go for?

    Highest weight

My highest weight has been 230 lbs, and I am now down to 170. I'm about 30 lbs away from my goal weight, but honestly, I'm pretty happy with where I am right now. Of course I want to get as close to my goal weight as possible, but I am grateful for what I have lost so far. I'm pretty happy with where I am now, but of course would want to lose more! I was at 174 for about 3 months and have just lost the 4 in the past two weeks.

    Less Restiction

I'm about 6 months post op and have noticed that for the past week, I feel like I have had less restriction when I eat. Has anybody else gone through this? I started replacing 2 meals with protein shakes today because I'm scared that maybe my stomach has stretched? Help!

    Less Restiction

I'm a snacker too. I've been trying different kinds of chips from Quest Nutrition. A little pricey I think, but worth the money. I've also been trying the Chobani Flip Greek Yogurts. They have a bunch of different flavors and I like that that the flip tray always has something crunchy in it. I am not sure if you are the same way, but I when I snack I always crave a "crunch". I can understand the laxatives thing, because that is what I would do to lose weight for the surgery. Just be careful and don't let worrying about losing weight make you sick. I think a cleanse is good every now and then but doing it too often can be harmful. What kinds of things do you snack on?

    My Surgery was 4/8/18

You had your surgery pretty recently, so I don't think you're at a stall. Stalls usually last months... I've been at the same weight for about 3 months. I also had a weight loss pause about a month out, but it only lasted about a week or two. Are you taking probiotics? This definitely helped me lose some more weight. Premier Protein is a great shake that can help you get your protein in.

    Sleeping?

I was able to sleep flat a few days out of surgery. Try what nycgirl said, use extra pillows around you. Maybe a body pillow that you can hug or wrap around you?

    question.

Gatorade and water. My surgeon said that I could have Gatorade G2 since it has less sugar. I'm really glad he gave me the go ahead, because I really enjoyed it after having the jello, soup, etc from the hospital.

    question.

I was extremely bad at drinking water when I had just gotten out of surgery.. The nurses would scold me but I just could not drink as much as they wanted me too. Gatorade was my best friend when I got home. Even taking tiny sips at a time will help you recover and build your strength.

    Less Restiction

I agree, the sleeve is a great tool but it's up to how we use it! It is very hard to fall off the wagon. There always seems to be someone's birthday coming up, a holiday, etc... That is great that you are at a great weight! I have about 36 more lbs to go before I get my goal. Was your weight loss steady over the past year or did you fluctuate?

    Less Restiction

I love the veggie tray idea! I knew that around 6 months I would be able to eat more, but it just feels so weird being being able to eat a few extra bites! Definitely something I'll have to get used to after being able to eat so little for so long. I'm a grazer and trying to break that habit. [emoji20] Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Less Restiction

I've read a few posts on here from people who can eat almost as much as they used to pre-op. I get thoughts like that too; I could've just forced myself to eat less and not have gotten surgery. But I think the whole process is worth it. Have you talked to your doctor about feeling the loss of restriction? I still get full, but there are some things (current example- Hot Cheetos. I know they are TERRIBLE for you, but have been my comfort food lately) that I can eat a ton of without getting full. Almost 60 lbs of weight loss is great!

    Less Restiction

A week without weight loss is not bad at all! You are doing great! I have been stuck at 174 ish for about 2 months now. I'm hoping to get down to around 130, but can't seem to get the scale to move (though the sizes I am wearing keep going down). Swimming would be great! I have back pain and hip pain... I ordered an SI belt from Amazon and man, it is like night and day. My back got instant relief. The one I ordered was around $13.

    Dumping syndrome

No not old at all! Which means you will recover faster! The process took forever for me too because I was having a hard time losing the preop weight. But it definitely is worth it!

Thank you! I'll be 20 in May. I recovered pretty quickly and I think you will too! You can do this [emoji123] Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
