    February bypass buddies?

I had RNY on 2/13 as well. Came home around 1pm on the 14th. I have an rd for hydrocodone, I think... But haven't filled it. Acetometaphin has been keeping the pain in check for me. I'm lucky I know. Been walking 5 minutes every hour and trying to drink/sip 3-4 oz every half hour.

    February bypass buddies?

Oh man, caffeine withdrawal is the pits! I gradually stepped down, then quit the caffeine when I first started with the program... I didn't want to go thru that and surgery stuff at the same time.

Yeah.. only carbs from veggies and fruit.. No bread, (or breaded stuff), corn, potatoes, rice, peas.... that sort of thing. It's to shrink the liver so its easier for the doctor to lift to get at the stomach for the surgery.

Good luck to everyone. What sort (if any) pre-op diets do you all have to do? It's funny now that I'm trying to be diligent about the starch free that it seems to be everywhere and is more tempting!

I'm also 5'6"... Weight at my final was 265. My heaviest on my home scale was 279. My surgeon requires a 3 week starch free diet, then 2 days clear liquids prior to surgery. That's great you already have approval! And Feb 21 really isn't that far out! I go for my pre-op physical and bloodwork next week (1/23).

    February bypass buddies?

Just got back from my final appointment with the surgeon. Received a date of February 13. They will submit my information to my insurance company, but I have no reason to think I won't be approved. Looking for any buddies February and/or surgery day twins.

The practice I go to has us do 3 weeks starch free, then 2 days clear liquids.
