  4. Sleeved on 11/14 and I have 7 (lucky) scars. I expected only 3ish. I didn’t think about it in the hospital because of my state but now that I feel a lot better I’m starting to think about it. I did have a few residents join in on the operation and wonder if “ they all had a turn” [emoji12] I also have been reading some of the success stories and noticed that on some of the after pics, I don’t see ANY scars whatsoever. Soooo...how many holes do you have? Is there something that I can use to minimize the scars? They currently have surgical glue on each. When will that come off too?
  5. I really relate to your journey..very inspirational and thank you very much for sharing...this will help a lot of us![emoji173]️[emoji173]️

  8. So I was sleeved on 11/14. I am still on a shakes only diet until next week. Water is hard!!!...but I am doing it. I haven’t moved my bowels since surgery. I’ve been told by a friend that it’s because I don’t have any solids since I’m on liquid only. I’ve tried crushing up a gentle lax and still nothing...is this normal?
  9. I was sleeved on 11/14 and got mine the next day...I thought maybe the blood thinners lol
  10. I just saw the same writing...is this a regular issue?...I was looking through settings to see if I did something to my settings
  11. OMG! You are my work twin!...Before my surgery (happened on 11/14), I begged the doctor to let me go back to work on Monday. I was so upset when I saw the FMLA paperwork that said Wednesday 22nd. HOWEVER, I’ve been home for 1 day from the hospital. I stayed an extra night because I wasn’t doing well with liquids and had a second GI done. It has almost killed me to not check my work emails but I know once I do, I’m going to sent down an stressful, emotional spiral. I’m trying really hard to put me first and am actually thinking about extending my leave until next Monday after the holiday. I totally understand you when you say everyone and everything first before you and hey look where that got us! Hopefully you will have inspired me to do the right thing for me! Thanks for posting
  12. So many emotions it’s crazy....I’ve waited a long time and it was a long journey...but I’m still scared. Packed my bag. I know it’s going to a restless night!!
  13. My co-worker told me that milk thistle will help me clean out my liver? Thoughts?
  14. Tomorrow is my pre-op anesthesia appointment. Can someone tell me what happens at this appointment? I also see the surgeon too. 11/14 here I come!
  15. I find it completely ironic that the day before my pre-op diet is Halloween [emoji12]. I’ve got all my protein shakes chilling in the fridge...excited for tomorrow because I know I’m that much closer to the magic date 11/14
  16. Hi Mainuhgrl68, So I was never successful with getting formal requirements like other insurances and was finally able to find something online that said BMI >=40 or
  17. I’m nervous because we have a big audit coming up (we aren’t the auditors)... if I can get everything situated then I think I’d relax about being out longer...thanks for the reply
  18. It's amazing the different ranges of time taken off from person to person. I have one more appointment with the surgeon next week...I'll definitely have the talk. I definitely think that I have underestimated the healing time
  19. What's a good indication that you could be candidate for the caffeine side effects...how long could they last?
