  1. Hang in there you will survive! I am on week two of the liguid diet and I agree it sucks and I still have one more week to go :scared2: I am allowed to have sugar free popcicles and they are good. The first week was the hardest I had major headaches the doc said they were due to no carbs or sugar. Hold your head up and this shall pass and think of what a great future as a healthy person you have to look forward to
  2. Go for it! Tell them you want some money
  3. I am on the liquad diet for 3 weeks and to be honest its not that bad. Its all in your will power and wanting to loose weight. I look at the lap band as a tool to help me loose weight and live a healthier life I know there will be hard times but they shall pass. As for saggy skin Id rather have it than have a heart attack and not be able to enjoy my kids and walk and play with them. So look at the possitive the band is a great tool to help you live a healthy and thinner life
  4. IF you could eat anything you wanted after a band, why have the band? In orderto loose weight we need to chnage our eating habits and eat healthy....Some doctors make no sence at all...
  5. My doctor put me on a 3 week liquad diet 60-90 grams of protein a day. I drink Adkins shakes, and smoothies I buy at the docs office. I have lost 5 lbs in 4 days but I have major headaches I am sure due to lack of carbs.
  6. Keep up the good work !
  7. I am on day four of liquad diet ( have to be on for 3 weeks) and my doctore gave me meridia a apetite suppresant. I made egg flour soup and had sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles and will have a protein drink (adkins with a banana mixed in for dinner) Its tough but worth the reward in the end. My doc said I can loose alot of weight on the pre op diet. I would really like ideas on what I can have on the liqued diet.
  8. My doctor said he uses both bands- Lap Band is used for any patients he does in out patient surgery at his clinic, if you go to the hospital they use Realize, he said there is no differance besides the name.
  9. Take each day one at a time, be honest with the phys, people change as they mature. And remember the band is only a tool to help loose weight you have to be strong and adhere to all the rules to make it work
  10. OOPS I mean Texas Fire 67, how did you add Stepahnie and the state of Texas on your profile. It looks really neat

Look at the possitive your improving your health. I am pre banding and have started to stop eating pizza and chips and soad so I am not graving them any more. I want to be healthy and not fat with high BP, and sleep apnea so to get to my goal food has to go and replaced with healthy food and exercise. Stay positive things will get better
  21. Hello, I just did my sleep test last night. I went to a pulmonary sleep study lab and they have a private room. They hook up wires on you its very simple. It was hard for me to get to sleep as I was in a strange place but I finally did. I arrived for the test at 9pm and left at 6am. Around 1am they came in a put a mask on me to see if that would help me sleep. The nurse said it helped me to sleep and everything ran smooth not sure if that means I have sleep apnea or not will find out in a few days. I have read many post about how awfull the test is but my experiance was great the staff was awesome and very accomedating to me. Once your all done and go home they told me to use dishsoap to get the goop out of your hair ( from the probes they place in 6 spots) this worked excellant and the goop all came out easy. My next step is to see the surgeon yeah I am very excited and you will really like this forum there is so much information. If you have any questions feel free to email me jazma2007@yahoo.com Take care
