  1. Thank you all for the support. I do feel much better today. I got a good nights sleep. Still a bit sore but I will just keep plunking away. You all are so kind, I really appreciate this. Thanks!!
  2. I just had to tell someone else. I was banded on April 16th. I am just now starting to feel a bit better. It was more pain than I thought I would have. So that bummed me out. I thought I would be able to pick up the next day and go back to work without anyone knowing. But, I had to break down and tell my kids that I needed the extra help around the house. I didn't want to tell them because I didn't want them to think of me as a failure. But, now I do because I do need some help right now. I wish I felt better. I was out and about running errands today to help get my mind off things but still the feelings are still there. I will try to keep my chin up and keep reading all of the success stories. Those cheer me up and give me hope.
  3. Hello, I also was banded on the 16th. It was not a piece of cake like I thought it was going to be. Reading so many people have great recoveries, I like you, feel a bit disappointed with the pain. 48 hours later it hurts, but can't let it keep you down. I went grocery shopping and ran some errands and have tried to not think about it but the pain is still there. Good luck to you. I hope you feel better soon.
  4. I am sorry about people saying such things. I was talking with my Dr. today about support and who I have told. Only two people I have told and thats going to be it. My BFF and my hubby. She said that was wise to do. People can be very judgemental and hurtfull without even trying to be. It is a personal medical situation and sometimes people just don't need to know. A lot of people get that jealousy thing going on too. I am realizing more and more this is the place to be for support. These men and women who have been there will help support you. Keep your chin up!!!
  5. Thank you for the welcomes. I am getting very excited. I had my Psych Eval. I am good to go. Just trying to learn as much as I can before next Wed. Thanks again!
  6. HI my name is Rebecca, I have been lurking here for quite some time. Just reading and reading. You all have very good advice and your success stories are amazing and so inspirational. You seem very supportive of others. Thank you all for that. I went to my consultation on April 3rd and have my surgury on April 16. I met with my surgeon and 13 days later he will give me a new tool to help me on my journey. I am very excited I had to tell someone. I have only told my hubby and my best friend. Anyways I just wanted to say hello for the first time. Wishing all of you continued success. Rebecca:smile:
