I am a 43 yr old divorced single mother of three (only one 16 yr old left at home) One daughter is in the Army other one lives in a nearby town. I was banded Aug 28,2008 and love my band. I have a great job and love life to the fullest!

I have 2 fills and my doc gives fills every 6 weeks after my 2nd fill I could see a change in restriction but the weight loss has been slow. I go to the gym 5x week my doc said I am loosing fat instead of weight which is great. I cant eat boiled eggs bad news or beef its to hard to swallow other than that most food is fine

i agree with you its not only insane as we are not trained medical professionals its also dangerous.

costco has a great Protein bar called Premier Protein with 30 G protein they come in 4 or 5 different flavors. I cut them up and snack on it thru the day

I agree with you she deserves an apology for the unprofessional behavior the staff has. She needs to stand her grounds and not let this happen again. We pay allot of money for insurance to cover our medical bills and we deserve the proper treatment medically and professionally.

I would tell them what you heard and demand to know what is going on. If they wont tell you find another doctor.

I never felt a think with my shots

I was cleared at 4 weeks ( with no abdominal exercises)

I did a liquid diet-protein drinks (low carbs, low sugar) and yogurt (LF, LS) and drank 64+ oz water a day and dropped weight fats..And i walked 2+ miles a day on the treadmill.

I had surgery on Aug 28th after 5 weeks of a pre surgery liquid diet I thought I would never get to have surgery. I kept an open mind and remembered the band is a tool to loose weight not a magic button. The post here don't tell what people eat (who don't loose weight). If they dont follow the rules they may not loose weight. It didn't take a few weeks to gain all our weight and become obese so it will take work and dedication using the band as a tool to loose weight. hang in there and look at the positiveness of the band and ignore negative comments(post) and focus on your goals... The lap band requires a life style change---I did not cheat during 5 weeks of liquids. There is a reason for the liquid diet and you need to have will power and do what your doc says. Be strong and don't give in to temptations. Have some soup and tell your dad thank you so much for the company.. I don't mean to be rude this is my personal opinion (if you want the band to work for you -you have to follow the rules)

Use a heating bad and walk that will do wonders.

The GS X did not help me..I used a heating pad and walked alot. The heating pad did wonders and helped so much. I only used pain meds for two days.

I was banded Aug 28 and after 4-5 days I felt so much better. You body went through a huge shock and needs to calm heal. Trust me all the weird feelings you have shall all pass and you will feel like a new person.

You should write a letter to the corporate office and send a copy to the newspaper. This is unfair

I used Milk Of Magnesia (spelled wrong oops) I had the same symptoms. Hang in there it shall pass and you will feel better soon. Myrolax also works great and it has no taste to it.

I had the same thing happen to me. The funny thing is I have never had one symptom for the hernia. I see my doc Wed and will be asking many questions
