  1. Okay I am not sure what I am doing. I do eat less than I did before my surgery and I am losing weight. However the Doctor said I would get a pressure that told me I was full and to quit eating. The problem is if I have Soup and crackers or crackers and cheese I don't seem to get that feeling till I ate 10 crackers. That can't be good for me. Any suggestions on what I could eat to fill me up quickly?

    I had the same issue my doctor said to eat foods with density as they stay in your band and keep you full.

    Soup goes in and out in no time.


  2. I am in the process of testing my Gal Bladder I am having a Huda Scan in the morning . I have severe stabbing pain under my ribcage on the right. I read several site on the web and #1. loosing more than 50 lbs can cause your Gal Bladder to go bad 2. You dont need a Gal Bladder to survive, I would not have mine removed just for the heck of it only if its not working right and making me ill. Research the net there is so much info out there and you will learn alot. Also Untra Sounds dont always show stones!


  3. I joined Curves in Nov and I am not very impressed. The staff tends to like to gossip and not pay attention to how members are using the machines. The circut in my opinion gets boring really fast and there is no challenge because it does not change. I am looking into a larger gym with a trainer so I can optimize my workout and get in better shape. Curves is great for beginers but in my opinion if your die hard about getting in shape you will get bored. The hours at Curves in my area are awfull they are set for people who dont work, they are open 8a-11am on Sat and closed sun, m-thur they close at 7p and Fri they close at 6:30 if you work til 5 you have to rush to get there change and work out...The hours stink!

    ANd for goodness sake they close on holidays! when most working people get the day off GEEEZZ..

    Just not impressed its more of a social, clicky gossip club who pushes there products..

  4. You can look at my stats and see that I still have a long way to go...I started my journey at 386 pounds and am currently 265. I know that some people START this journey at a weight lower than what I currently am, but I have lost over 120 pounds and I feel so great. I feel like I am living again! I have energy and a will to go out and do things that I never thought I'd do again.

    I am a teacher and this past week I had my spring break. I made a vow to do something every day to be active. If I wasn't at the gym, I was out LIVING! I walked around NYC (and I've lived here my whole life, but never really just walked around...) and yesterday I went to the Bronx Zoo and walked for 4 hours straight. I would never have been able to do that a year ago. I wasn't even tired! Everytime I thought about what I was doing I just became so surprised that I was actually doing it because a year ago I would have spent my vacation sitting on my couch and vegetating. This time I actually set out to move and see things and enrich myself and I was able to do it because I wasn't being dragged down by my weight!

    I know I have come so far, but I know I still have such a long way to go. But I am so inspired to get there because I can't imagine how great it will feel when I'm below 200 pounds... and it seems like such an attainable goal now! I mean, now that I CAN move, I WILL move, which will make it easier for me to lose weight. I didn't realize what a horribly vicious circle I had chained myself into, but now that I'm outside of it I just couldn't be happier and I never want to go back. I really am proud of myself and my accomplishments and I can't wait to see what lies ahead...

    Congrats to you what an awesome job. I feel the same way you do I started at 361 I am now at 254 and feel like a new person I just bought a new bike and plan to go to the gym before work and bike after. My new goal is to get to 200 Its amazing how much more energy and enthusiasm you have to get motivated. The lap Band is the best thing I ever did.

  6. I just got 8cc in my 10cc band a week ago and FINALLY I feel some restriction! I can't eat till 1pm and then I eat a small supper. I am down 12lbs since I got it! I was really getting worried that it was just not going to work, but now I have hope!

    I am the same as you I cant eat until around 1pm or it gets stuck.

    I am at 9cc in a 10 cc band and have great restriction


  7. Ok, I am looking at this March exercise challenge. I am going to challenge myself to work out in the elipical for 30 mins by the end of March. You see I have tried to use this machine but only can work on it for about 5 mins. if I am lucky. :party: Would anyone else like to join in?:hurray:

    I am in on the challenge I have an elliptical and dont use it.


  8. Anyone out there have 8 or more cc's in your 10cc band? I just had a fill today which puts me at 8cc's. Still am not losing, hopefully after today I will. Just wondered if anyone else out there had to have a lot in there to hit their sweet spot.

    I just had my fourth fill .50 I am now at max 9cc in a 10cc band

  10. The band is a tool and we all have to change our bad eating habits with new ones it did not take us a month to gain these habits and it will take time to break them.

    I have changed my eating habits no bread, Pasta, potatoes or greasy fattening foods. Its a lifestyle change and only you can make that change.

    I understand where your coming from its frustrating at times and but I now in the long run I will be healthier and feel so much better.

    Hang in there it will get better and maybe you need to have a talk with your doctor and tell him the issues your having. My doctor and his staff are very supportive thank goodness.
