I am exactly the same way! I can drink 12 oz easily within 20 min. I feel FINE, great even! I went back on my Premiere Protein shakes Saturday night. Again no problem at all. I have also been eating soft foods. Hummus (seriously like heaven), canned chicken breast with dill pickle juice and a tiny bit of mayo, soups..., again Im feeling great. I did experience my first "dumping syndrome" yesterday. OMG I FELT HORRID for about 20-30 min. Turns out it was due to me putting my hummus in broth. BAD IDEA! A friend gave me a tip that I should have no more than 1/2-3/4 of a jello cup at each meal. No liquids 20 min before or after and none during eating. I just read a LOT of incorrect information in the comments above. You are correct, watch the documentary called "The Science of Fasting". It is not on youtube, I saw it on amazon Prime video. Or google Dr Valter Longo he is a world renowned biochemist who studies gerontology at USC. His work and the work at a Fasting Treatment Center in Russia is amazing!!!! @killian I just got the stretchy "sippy cup lids" from amazon today. My surgery is Saturday and I pick up my passport Friday! Just in time. Sh*t just got real! On the bright side I have dropped 13 lbs in 5 days from my pre op diet[emoji4] I was SHOCKED. The only reason I weighed myself was to put it on here. Im not a big believer in scales. I also quit smoking [emoji41]. Basically I now look like an anxiety ridden chubby lady whose pants are now too big[emoji23] Hope you are well shipmate. Catch me up on your journey.
