  1. When I had my surgery I did bring my cpap and guess what? They never even had me use it! When I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea I was really concerned, what is it? Why do I have it? Is this something that I will have for the rest of my life? All was explained by my sleep study advisor with little info. So I researched on my own, got machine, fitted for nose cover and again was told nothing. What? Why? How? Research again...... found how to use machine and how it works on YouTube. Hate, Hate, Hate this stupid machine! Dr. Never asked about how I was doing on it, sleep study guy never called to see how I was doing with it, even after surgery in hospital no one had me use it. What? Why? IDK? Darn machine wouldn't let me sleep anyways, no one seemed to care, so I didn't either.Took the darn thing back so I wouldn't be charged for it, and I have had the best sleep ever since I said goodbye to that machine. Now was that a smart thing to Do? Absolutely not!!! I am putting myself at risk, but I don't care!! So what I'm trying to say is, for me it was my own personal choice. But really you should talk to your Dr. Before making a decision that could be bad depending upon your health issues. Myself I had none. Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. I like to snack as well, but my go to snack is sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello. When I have that hungry feeling and liquids just don't do it, I love beef jerky. I also like the atkins caramel nut roll bars, so delicious with great protein and low carbs! Oh yeah, I love Yoplait yogurt low fat, so very yummy. 7. Ok I fixed it, has to go under patients, then my surgery, then my surgery again at the top of page and then I was able to update Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. This does not work, I have tried everything that has been suggested and I cannot update my weight. Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. All i can say is stick with it and I promise results will come. I felt so badly for not loosing anything pre-op and first week out of surgery, and then it did happen come the 2nd week. I am only 6weeks po-op and have lost 24lbs now, but if you read about other people's results of losing 40+ lbs in just a few weeks and say why not me? It's because we are not them. Everyone has different start out weights and age makes a difference when it comes to metabolism as well. Keep faith in knowing your turn is next, and stay off the scales. Only weigh yourself once a week and in morning is the best time. Good luck on your journey and know your not alone!!! Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I have had sugar free vanilla ice cream, only 100 calories for a 1/2 cup Don't eat it very often because carbs are 12% but it's a nice treat:0) Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Also I don't get sick as much anymore, I believe I was trying to eat way to much as well because I couldn't figure out that feeling full everyone was talking about. That's why I take 30 minutes to eat so I can feel that fullness and smaller bites as well. Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. My surgery was 8/29, and I said the same thing you did about rather I was posting correctly to get replies because I wasnt:0( but was still able to read up on other experience 's to get the just of it all. I have only lost 23lbs and I'm am now at my 6wk po-op , my start weight was 244lbs and did not loose pre-op. I was only on the liquid diet for a week though. I have gotten sick when I was first able to eat solids because I was eating to big of bites and to fast. So I started a game with my daughter who eats way to fast anyways, and we count to 20 to chew and use a toddler fork or spoon to eat with and don't get up from table untill 20-30 minutes of eating time. This has really helped me out personally. Contact me anytime if you want, looks like our surgery dates are only a,week apart. Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Update ... sleeved 8/29/2017 HW 272 SW 244 CW 221 Still loosin but so slowly, not counting calories just making sure I'm eating protein, protein, and more protein. I still feel like I'm not losing much, try not to get depressed but it's really hard. Seemed like after losing the first 20 the next 3lbs was harder to achieve. I can't give up!! I know everyone is different, but I would really like to know where the end of August to first of September of 2017 stands with their weight loss. Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Protein shakes, I one month post-op and have had no problems with the shakes untill now. Now they make me very naustious Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Could be esophagus spasms, I had this problem since my sleeve on August 29 of this year and I'm taking medication for it. I get a feeling of stuck foods in my throat which can be painful at times. I also had a swallow test and all it showed was the dye going thru to stomach. Ask your Dr. To see if maybe that could be possible Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Absolutely, thank you very much i really appreciate it:0) Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. I have noticed I'm losing an average of 6lbs a week, but I also didn't lose pre-op A lot of others have said give it time and stay off the scales, but it's so hard Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I had the same experience, coughing, sneezing, and especially eating. I did go see my Dr after suffering several days and come to find out I had esophagus spasms, put me on medication and the pain is almost all gone now. But definitely call your Dr to make sure it's nothing serious. Btw, I'm 3wks post-op Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I drink so glass of 1% milk, I get my protein and it fills me up. Also drinking plenty of water helps me as well. But definitely breathe and put your mind on one thing at a time, sounds like your under a lot of stress! Good luck to you Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. Had my sleeve done on August 29th so happy I can eat Now! I have lost 20lbs and I'm so happy, but I feel like maybe I'm eating to much or not enough sometimes.. My Dr. Does not have me counting calories yet, he is just wanting me to make sure I eat a lot of protein. I know everyone's diet is different, but it still leaves me with concern. What are you eating? How is your weight loss going? Now my pre-op weight was 244 and didn't loose any weight before surgery, so I'm was thinking I should of lost more by now... what do you think? Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. Yes, I have followed every guidelines that was given to me, I finally did call Dr. And he prescribed medication for my esophagus spasms and he said the pain in my side is also just another muscle spasms that will eventually go away. Really didn't know who to talk with, or what to do, or if this has happened to anyone else. Found this site looking for advice, but definitely glad I called my surgeon. Thank you very much for helping:0) Sent from my SM-G928T using BariatricPal mobile app
