Has anyone decreased the amount of Vitamins you take?

Originally I was taking two multis a day but since about the holidays I only take one multi a day (and a B12 and my iron). My labs just came back and everything is great. I will ask the surgeon next week if I can stay on just one a day.

Just curious is anyone else has dropped the amount of Vitamins they take?

I quit taking my vitamins and Calcium pills because they were so big and hard to swallow for me. My blood test results came back with only a slight deficiency in Iron and B12, and that was it. I couldnt believe the results, my Dr. did get on to me and told me to take chewable ones instead. But now i only take one bariatric chewable Vitamin A day, thats it.

I have my surgery tomorrow. It still doesn’t feel real. I’m not nervous or excited. I just want to happen so I don’t have to count down. Anyone else have there surgery tomorrow? Good luck to everyone!!!

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

With christ by your side to give you the strength you need for the operation and after, thats all you need! Be happy, and walk proud. This will be the starting of a wonderful and successful journey. I had my surgery back in august 29th and have lost 52lbs with no exercising yet. almost ready to go, just got to get past my social anxiety. Its the worst!!!! But im alot happier, healthier, and i can shop in regular size clothes now. So goodbye to xxxl sizes to just lg, occasional xlg, because i have big TaTa's, melons, whatever lingo they are called today...lol AND IM SOOOOOO HAPPY😂 congratulations for everyone making this life altering change, come and ask me any questions to help you thru, or if you would just like a mentor im there

  3. I was sleeved on 8/29/17, I had all the exact feelings as everyone else. I try to focus on non scale moments to help with my self esteem, down sizing on clothes has been the most rewarding for me. Went from a size 22 in jeans to wearing a size 12 now, and on shirts i went from 3x-2× to now a lg and xlg. Another wonderful moment for me is when my oldest daughter boyfriend came over the other night and i was dressed up for a wedding to attend and he said," damn your mama is looking hot". Those little moments is what gets me through this:0) plus i hit my first 2 goals i had set for myself. first being in the 100's by Christmas , 2nd losing 50lbs. Happy to say i accomplished both!

  4. My Dr. Doesnt have one like that for me, it was always about the Protein and fluids. My diet is high protein, low carbs,. I do watch sugar grams, no more then 2-3g though. But this was built for me specifically, and it works for me. My surgery date was august 29th 2017, my surgery weight was 244, now currently im 193. I have reached 2 goals so far, one being under 200lbs before Christmas ✔Done 2nd goal was to loose 50lbs ✔Done

All of this in 4 and 1/2 months😊

  5. Stalls can be different for everyone, i dont believe there is an exact schedule. I didnt get my first stall untill about 2 months post-op, and really haven't had another since. It only lasted a little over a week, and i was back to loosing. For woman, some will hit a stall during your monthly time because of your body retaining Water. Just remember its just a stall and you will be back to loosing weight again in no time :0)

  6. I had my surgery back in august, and i still dont keep track of anything. I just make sure my Protein is higher then my carbs or equal to it, everyone has there own program. Some track, some dont. But protein and fluids are one thing everyone has in common. It still takes me about 20-30 minutes to eat 4 to 5 tbsp, and i definitely can not chug water...lol Water is hard for me to drink alot of at once. The eating is a little easier when i do take it slower, and use a toddler fork or spoon. Helps you from eating to fast and to much. I use to get sick alot after eating, because i was guilty of both. The toddler utensils helped out so much. Good luck to all of you and know with time you will learn your new stomachs! :0)

    Hi @46w4kds ,

New to the post and bariatric pal so sorry for such a late post! I had my sleeve done 12/14 everything was going great! I saw my doctor for my first post op on 12/28 and he was excited to see how well I was doing. Well, the next day I woke up with esophagus spasms. I have mixed feelings about hearing that someone else has this. I'm relieved I'm not the only one ( came to this site desperate to find someone else), but saddened because I know it SUCKS! I thought I had done my research prior to surgery and never ran into this topic. I was prescribe Blood pressure medication to relax the muscles around my esophagus. If you don't mind me asking, were you prescribed something within that family and also wanted to know how you are doing thus far. Still medicated, living fabulously without it ? I unfortunately had to start from square one with my diet post diagnosis. liquid for 2 weeks and then puree'd food. I look forward to baby food but I would prefer for my esophagus to chill out for a second.

I promise it does go away, yes i was on a medication for the spasms. Not sure the name, i know i took a pill and let it dissolve under my tongue each time before i ate. The spasms only lasted about a month in a half and then they were gone. I had my surgery back on august 29th and dont have any problems today. Give it time, if it doesnt get better then definitely talk with your Dr. Goodluck on your journey, and wishing you all the best! Feel free to contact me anytime, i will try to help in any way i can. I've got your back :0)

Just hit my 40lbs off today!!! Yeah!!! My surgery date was 8/29 I lost no weight pre-op so my 40 is definitely all because of surgery, best decision ever!!!

I had my surgery on 8/29 also and hit my 40lb loss as well. It doesn't seem like much compared to others but for me it's a ton.

I pretend there isnt anyone to compare to, i get so excited each week when i weigh in to see the lbs come off. We did it!! 40lbs gone and 60 more to go for me, it is a ton for me as well!! Congratulations to all who have hit the 40lbs off!!!!!

Congratulations! We’re on the same countdown lol. Our numbers are similar too. Pre-op 247, sleeved 8/23, I’m currently 201.8 and dying to be under 200 when I see my surgeon on Thursday but since I get weighed with shoes and stuff I doubt it.

Keep up the amazing work. You look fantastic!!

Thats awesome!!! I always take my shoes, jacket, purse, whatever that can come off before weigh in....lol. we are definitely side by side on those #'s sounds like you might have hit the 100's , super excited for you and good luck on thursday:0)

@Cloebird Can you message me that chart please? This app is the most user UNFRIENDLY app I have ever installed. I HATE IT, but love this group. I got tired of scrolling through pages trying to find the chart. Is it me or does this App really suck?
