Congratulations. You look fantastic. Out of curiosity when did the hunger hormones return and what is it like post surgery?

Yes I do get hungry, but I still get sick if I eat alot. I can only eat kids size meals. I have to eat slowly still. Sugar drinks makes me very sick, but I can eat a little sugar treat but not much.

  2. Had surgery August of 2017, have gained 11 lbs and still keeping it off! ( for the most part anyways..lol) I'm turning 50 years old in July and trying to stay fit has been kinda hard since covid. Anyone out there after a few years of post op? And how are you doing keeping weight off?

You go hot mama!:) That is so inspiring to see!Any working out? Just curious. My sleeve is next monday and I cant wait to get started! What does your husband say? My guy says-promise me u r not gonna get all skinny and dump me. I think tht is a real fear for the guys

Honestly, no working out at all here. Just changed everything about how i eat, and making sure its healthy. I do go out to eat alot still, but i make healthy choices when i do. My husband is very happy for me, but he knows i adore him and i wouldnt trade him in for anything...lol i was lucky to have a husband who is very supportive and loving. This journey will change you completely, listen to your dr. and follow all the eating rules. It will suck at first, but it does get better and you will achieve your goals!

  6. Thank you guys for the nice comments, much appreciated! The best advice i can give is definitely follow your eating plans and drink plenty of Water. I also stay away from sugar as much as possible, i might have a belvita Breakfast soft banana bread cookie for a snack once in a while or a package of fruit Snacks. But i keep in mind never to eat more then 15g in one day. Lots of Protein and vegetables to. If you like cauliflower and broccoli, i have found they are very filling.๐Ÿ˜€ Thank you all again, i have always gotten such wonderful support with bariatric pal!

  7. I did loose my hair as well, and it was very thick curly hair. Happily it did grow back after about 7 months later, but not as curly. Im a year out since surgery and i still have the baby hair still sticking up from places that the hair is regrowing. I did not use and Rogaine or anything else like that personally. All i can say it does come back and hats were my friends for awhile.

Lee's Summit, Missouri (suburb of Kansas City, Missouri).

For those who assume that "Kansas City" is a city in Kansas, here's something that might help to distinguish the two:

Kansas City, Missouri has an International Airport. Kansas City, Kansas has a Greyhound bus depot (or used to anyway.) So, if someone says, "I'm from Kansas City," the wrong response is "Oh, so you're from Kansas. How's Dorothy and Toto?"

Nice to see another from MO, im from Independence. Was just in Lee's summit today.. lol
