Help me guys! I am due for my surgery next Tuesday the 16th, but I have blown my pre-op diet three different times. I think it’s because I have not gotten approval yet from my health insurance company, I just don’t think it’s real! I know I should just do what they say, beyond liquids for two weeks just in case, but I’m having a really hard time! Help me out give a girl a hand and prayer and any advice you have!

They wanted extra blood work from me.

I’ve got a date of 1/16!!! So excited, but I’ll be happier once I see the paperwork from the insurance!!

Hey Folks!! My name is Joan and I am 55 yrs old and in desperate need of a surgery buddy!!! Anyone on this journey that would love someone to bounce things off of, be accountable with, trade recipes with and b***h to? I sure am looking for you!!!!

I'm nervous about the bypass...what if I fail, even with this? No one I know has done this, so there's no one to get on the phone with and ask them a million questions. I really need to be successful with this tool because my health depends on it. My hubby and kids are supportive, but no one knows how worried I truly am that this will be another diet I fail at....

Wow! You're doing a great job and I can only pray I can lose that much weight that quickly. Is there something specific that you did to help you on your way?

That's the whole thing, I just wanted to be at goal. My husband and I are going to make our once-in-a-lifetime only trip to Europe once I hit goal and see beautiful Ireland and London Paris and Edinburgh. I just want my life to begin!

Because I'm having a revision from the original stomach stapling error, my doctor tells me that my surgery will be 6 or more hours. He's praying he can get this done and get an RNY. If he can't and I go through all this I just don't know what I'm going to do. I would appreciate prayers!

P. S. After dinner at Red Lobster I'm going to make my husband take me to a movie. And there I'm probably going to have a Diet Coke and buttered popcorn! I will call it the end of an era!

I'm going to Red Lobster and I'm going to order the ultimate Seafood meal! I'm going to eat at cheese biscuit, and I'm going to have dessert and a margarita! I just need to get a surgery date now so that I can plan my meal! LOL

Hi guys! Now I haven't had my surgery yet, I have to dietary classes to go and they're supposed to give me a date. But today I'm feeling kind of down and as if that day will never come! Have you ever felt like you're just waiting for your life to happen and life goes really slow to get there.

Hi bright faith! I love your name! I have purchased books that I'm getting ready to read and I know that I should take this time to just chill out, but I'm ready in my head and I know that my insurance doesn't ask me to go through all of these hoops that they're asking me to go through. I just want to get it done. I think I need to find a buddy that I can go through this with so that we can encourage each other on the bad days because usually I'm very up but today is not that day!
