I finished up day 4 as well! The hardest thing is having to cook for someone else or just be around the food knowing you can’t nibble at it. I’m not even hungry, I just want to chew something so bad ? hang in there! We are almost there, and then we will have to force these shakes and liquids down

I just completed day 4. 4 more days of full liquids then 2 days of clear liquids. I’m so over it but I know that all of this is worth it. Just want the headaches and dizziness to go away ?

I picked up the mint chewables, wanted the strips but it seems they have been discontinued. And I’ve learned from everyone here too. I love it here, it’s like a big supportive family ?♥️

Your surgeon didn’t tell you to get gas x? That usually what they give you and tell you to have on hand for the gas. Best of luck!

I was under lightly for my upper endoscopy, it wasn’t bad, woke up not knowing anything happened, lol. I’ve never had to spend the night at the hospital either! We have to think about the positive and not the negative. I mean complications are a possibility but we’ve got to believe our surgeons will do the very best they can

I solved the salty problem by having chicken broth (diluted). Best of luck! I’m complaining about the 10 days and you have to do 3 weeks ??‍♀️

I can stomach certain brands of sugar free jello but I hate the texture of jello, lol. I thank you for the suggestion though. I’m just going to have some broth for the salt and try to manage the whole not chewing thing

I'm all done. My surgery was at about 7:45 this morning. Anesthesia makes me really sick so I was not a happy camper for a few hours. Once that wore off I've been good. Throat is a little sore. Tummy is also sore. Morphine pump is really helping a lot. My nurse got me some warm decaf tea. It's wonderful. Been sipping Water all day. Did my swallow test.
