So im loosing really slow... what can I do ?? My calorie intake is like less than 500 honestly?? I am going to the gym and do cardio 30 minutes and legs and arms. i sweat like crazy. What can I do what am i doing wrong!! I was in a like 3-4 week stall im only 5 weeks out tomorow
I’m losing pretty slowly too. I notice I lose a little better on days where I’ve had an hour of movement. The main thing people usually say is that building muscle helps. I need to start working on building some. Good luck!

Congrats! I’m so jealous! Nowhere near one-derland but working on it. I feel great and walk A LOT! I’ll be 9 weeks post op this Thursday! Congrats again and best wishes moving forward 😊

Thank you, thank you. You're doing FABULOUS! All we can do is keep trucking along. 55 lbs. down is so great for 9 weeks. Congrats to you too! Love that you're walking a lot. I did that every day until I hit 205 lbs. Walking works. Keep up the amazing work.

You’re welcome and thank you! And I wish I had dropped that in 9 weeks! I think they count it from the start of your journey. I honestly love walking. Makes me feel so good! Hoping to sign up to a gym some time soon!

JUNE RNY BUDDIES!!!!???? How is everyone doing? Strolling through life and feeling like a pro already? I'm 9 weeks post-op and made it to ONEderland. I'm so ecstatic. The energy is great right now. Life feels good. I'm so thrilled that I decided to Celebrate and give away $100 this week. If interested, feel free to watch my video for more details. I'll draw the winner on September 1st. :)

I am kind of freaking out right now. Surgery is tomorrow and i just had a huge wave of emotions hit me. I burst into tears. I have had numerous surgeries and never had this happen before. I hope I can calm down or its gonna be a long day and night.

It’s probably anxiety and excitement which can obviously be overwhelming. You’ve got this! Your new life begins soon. Sending prayers and positive vibes. See you on the post op side 😉

I wasn't afraid for some reason. I trusted my surgeon totally. I know multiple people who he's preformed surgeries on, and they're all doing really well. I didn't even let anyone come to the hospital with me, cause I knew I'd be fine. I just told my mom that I would call/text her after to ease her worries, and I did lol! You'll be totally fine! The likelihood of anything happening during surgery is EXTREMELY low! You've got this!

Same! I had no fear! The staff was kind of taken aback because I was all smiles and joking with them. I also didn’t have anyone at the hospital with me. I was alone my whole 2 day stay, no visitors. I’m sure the OP is fine now

Don't suppose my surgeon Dr Needleman is sitting home thinking about,me, but I am about him. Ragweed season is underway strongly in Central. Ohio, hope he doesn't sneeze and I end up with a misshapen pouch on the wrong side of my stomach, now THAT could,be,problematic. Just want an well-draining turkey egg with its dime-sized st9ma into my jejuneum. Don't think it's Too Much to ask!
    Less than 10! 😉

Everyone is different. You can’t compare journeys. It took me 2 whole weeks to get rid of the 10lbs of fluids I gained at the hospital. Just keep doing what you’re supposed to be doing. It will come off

Oh wow! So this happened to you too? Oh dear... not cool , sorry I had to deal with that. Are you happy with your progress since?

My progress is slower than I expected but I am happy with it. Before the weight even started coming off, I felt better. I was able to walk without aching or feeling tired. I felt lighter. Now 8 weeks (9 weeks this Thursday) the weight is coming off pretty good. I stick to my Protein and take walks and it honestly does wonders. I’ve also started having more broccoli or spinach with my meats (I’m already back on a full diet). Trust the process. I feel your pain, I was discouraged too but I promise it does come off. Keep fighting the good fight!

I’m drinking a lot though! Just wondering how soon I will be able to shed that. Like how long it took others to shed hospital Fluid and begin to see results post bypass. It is So discouraging doing Clear Liquids with no results yet.

Not to get personal but are you on any kind of hormones? In the beginning I had a hard time losing weight and I had the nexplanon birth control implant. Once I got it removed I started losing again. I guess my body didn’t like hormones. But also consider what everyone else is saying about the fluids and healing. It will start coming off. Keep fighting the good fight. Best wishes

I've had the Mirena IUD for 11 years, but removing is definitely not an option. I am going to increase my Water from 70 to as much as possible. Ash said not to stress it's normal so I am going to relax and see what happens.

Oh no! I wouldn’t tell you to ditch it. You’ve been on it for 11 years with no side effects so I’m sure it’s fine. Mine was just torture and gave me further issues upon removal. My body doesn’t like hormones and luckily for me I’m not dating so being without it isn’t an issue. Hope you see results soon! Wishing you the best! Also, consider taking measurements, sometimes the scale will get you down

@ALFxRNY I had my surgery 7/18/18 so I’m 5 weeks out I’m just a little nervous about getting back into my daily routine with work and my daughter starting school and all the back & forth I just hope I can keep up and not be to tired.. I been doing well so far but I haven’t been getting the Protein that is required
Oh okay, got it! Do you use already made Protein or self mixing? Having an on the go jug of protein really does help. I think you’re going to be fine. We all get the protein struggle 😉 Good luck!

I am having trouble with Vitamins also. I've tried the chewable tablets and couldn't tolerate the taste. Then I moved on to the soft chews and those worked for about a week then started making me sick to my stomach. I'm hoping I figure something out.

I tried chewable and even though I liked them pre-op they tasted like vomit post op. So then I got the drinkable Vitamins because I liked them pre-op but again, post op they tasted like vomit. I finally ended up on the ProCare site and settled on the one a day capsule. I’m guessing they work okay, my blood work so far says I’m fine but I will see what my latest blood work reveals at my September 4th appointment which is my 3rd post op appointment. Good luck with the vitamins

I had Gastric Bypass on August 8th and since the day I came home (August 10th) I have not lost 1 lbs. I get my Water and Protein in. I have walked every day aside from 1. I have tried to read everything to figure out why, but I can't even find anyone else this has happened to. Did it really not work? Is that even possible? I have been doing everything I can on my end so why is this happening? I seriously don't think I can face anyone if after all this I still can't succeed.

So I had my 2nd follow up and I am officially on stage 3. I’m excited but also a lil scared. I’m going to start the gym week and I’m a lil scared not to sure why but it’s just a feeling. Hopefully everything will calm down and not b to stressful.. has anyone ever felt like that ???
Hi, is your fear of the new stage of food or of going to the gym? How long ago did you have your surgery? Are you afraid of hurting yourself? Just curious. Cheering for you and wishing you well!

Had my GB on the 6th so 21/2 weeks out and already lost 19lbs. I am a little surprised that my blood sugar numbers have not come down much farther but maybe because I am still healing. I still get a bit nauseous when I drink Water or eat but it is getting a little better. I have found a wonderful Protein Shake that I really like I just wish I could get a flavor other than chocolate lol. Never in my wildest dreams thought I would be sick of chocolate! It is called Orgain Clean Protein and it is Gluten free, 140 calories, 20g Protein 2g fat, 10 carbs, 3 Fiber and 4 sugars. It is also Soy free, non-GMO and Grass fed. You can get a big box of 11 oz. Individuals at costco for like $18. It works ot to admit a $1 a shake if you all are interested. Congratulations to all who have had their surgeries and best of luck to those getting ready. Looking forward to hearing all your experiences.

Congrats on your surgery! And your levels will come down. Your body definitely has to heal and your hormones will be a little wonky because of the changes to your body. I’m 8 weeks out now but at 6 weeks I found out I no longer have high cholesterol. It all happens before you know it. And I keep hearing about Orgain protein. I use EAS vanilla flavor, 30g protein per serving and I believe the sugar is like 2g. To change the flavor I use sugar free Creamer or sugar free Syrup (chocolate or strawberry). Best wishes on your journey and great job on your weight loss so far!
