I forgot to take full body shots at the event, but here's the initial "should I buy this?" dressing room image. Ignore bra straps visible in photo, wore a strapless bra on the night. And I wore MUCH better shoes, and unbelievably, they didn't hurt even after four hours of mingling - these were spike heels. And did I mention that freakishly, my shoe size went down .5? This entire experience is bizarre.

Some of my colleagues didn't recognize me and apparently asked whose wife I was.

Well look at you hot mama! You look amazing!

  2. I still lurk around but haven’t been posting. I will be 6 months out December 28th. I think I’m doing okay. My body keeps stalling after slight gains. Had a 3 week stall and then it broke. Gained again but lost the weight I gained. My body is just being really weird right now. I’m down to about 225-226 lbs right now (was 275 day of surgery and 285 day of discharge). My surgeon’s office wants me to be at least 220 by January, hoping to surpass that. Hope all is well with everyone!

I’m down to 205!! 6 lbs till the 100’s!!!! Starting weight was 252, surgery weight was 242. I’m eating about 530 calories a day, 11g carbs, still struggling with Protein. I can’t afford to do Protein Powder at this time so I’m trying my best to get it from food but most days I’m closer to 40 than 60 grams. I’m getting around 30-40 grams of fats.

Breakfast is pretty much the same each day: 1 bacon, one fried egg (cooked in the bacon grease, 3-4 blackberries, and 1/4 an avocado. Comes out to about 207 calories. I was doing chili cheese dogs for lunch (1/4 cup homemade chili, 1 all beef dog and 2 tbsp shredded cheddar—no bun) but I ran out of chili. Now trying to find something new to eat. Didn’t get enough Water yesterday. :/ gonna try better today. Honestly I’m not feeling hungry today. I found that guacamole is a good snack for me. I found that if I go to chipotle and order a steak burrito bowl with no rice or Beans, just steak, cheese, guac, salsa and lettuce it’s pretty good!! I can eat about 1/3-1/2 of it. And it’s not bad cold :)

But im still struggling with what to eat each day ugh. I can’t go to chipotle every day. I can’t make chili every week. And I’m so tired from work—closing on weekends sucks.
Congrats!!! That’s amazing! So happy for you! 🎉🎉🎉

you tell me, when I joined BP last winter some e-peon did that to me. I was not even seeking WLS at that time, let alone undergoing surgery. I cannot adjust it myself on an android phone app, I have pleaded with everyone up to Ken S our uber E-Guru until I am blue in the face, to repair it Nada- for a bit of time I even started putting all my facts in every pisting, makes for LONG postings. so here I am with a blue face,, light red turkey neck and operating room sallow skin tone. My son does not have to worry about a stepfather now. I give most guys the right age the heeby jeebies with my color scheme. So. can anybody fix El Problemo?
I fix mine by using the browser version on my phone. Good luck!

This is a major one!!! I feel like in the past taking pictures I haven't hated always required several shots at very purposeful angles with me trying very hard to sit/stand/breathe in the right places...and even after all that I often just hated them. What a great feeling to like a "real" and candid shot of yourself!!

All of this! I despised pics and I always felt bad looking at pics of myself. I stuck to face shots and only if they were taken by me. So glad to know I’m not the only one who is okay with it now 😊

I posted this on the summer post-op thread too so I’m sorry for double posting, but what do you all think about this dress for work tomorrow? Yea or wait 5-10+ pounds or just nay in general?

    Trying to decide/work up courage...

I like it, I think it fits nicely. Another 5-10 lbs and you’ll be tripping over it, lol

New to this site. Had gastric sleeve procedure 8/22/18. Down 20 thus far. Thought I was dealing with major allergies for the last week but started feeling really bad yesterday. Went to urgent care and was told I have the flu :(. I’m bummed that I won’t be going to the gym for a couple of days, but I know I need to allow my body to get over this flu. So frustrating! Hope everyone is doing well!
I’m sorry you got the flu. Wishing you a very speedy recovery. Good job on your 20lbs weight loss
