Have you tried gas x? It was my go to post op! And don’t feel bad about the 1lb. I gained 10lbs in the hospital from fluids and gas. Best wishes! On 08/23/2018 at 17:08, Megan Sadler said:
I had my surgery on 8/21. The gas is worse than the incision pain. I’m home now and litterally just forcing the farts and it helps... walking around and trying to get my fluids in. Was supposed to start on my vits today but will have to start tomorrow because I forgot them. Oh well. Hopefully I’ll lose some weight this week I’m up a pound from surgery day... 😭Megan Sadler and clsumrall reacted to this -

Isn’t it amazing what a little exercise will do? Walked today for a little over an hour and almost 3 miles. Went from 259 to 257!On 08/22/2018 at 21:54, mercmerc said:
I did zumba a little bit not too many movements but i worked up a sweat! Lost a pound!LauriW reacted to this -
My body stalls like every 2 lbs and then I’ll gain and lose to the amount I lost for days until I drop another pound maybe 2. It’s very annoying

I’m not going to lie, there are so many pages of convo that I have gotten overwhelmed! I will try to do better with keeping up with everyone

I did a day of clear liquids, 2 weeks of full liquids, 1 week purée, 1 week soft, then back to a normal diet. This was how my surgeon told me to progress. Everyone’s journey is definitely differentOn 08/21/2018 at 08:16, AELdoesRNY said:
Also curious what your diet progression has been, I think the wide variation between different surgeons’ plans explains some of the drastic differences in weight loss in the first month, after that it evens out.
I was on Clear Liquids only for a week, then clear liquids plus milk and strained Soups for two week. I only yesterday started pureed foods and this morning I was up 1.4 lbs. I know it’ll even out and I’ll be losing again soon, but I think your body reacts to each stage too! -
lol, I remember all of those neverending calls! I still get a call from the pharmacy here and there to make sure I’m taking my proper meds 😂On 08/16/2018 at 17:11, Ylime said:
You know what is pissing me off? My phone ringing off the hook! The pharmacy calling to check on me, the nurse calling to check on me, my insurance company calling me (WTF ?!- I'm self pay!), my leave of absence company calling to confirm dates, the pharmacy calling again to thank me for my business. All of this in ONE day. Can a person not just recover in peace?!

Hey all. Had surgery early this morning. Now in my room having “lunch”. Only pain is the gas pressure in my belly. But I am so groggy and tired. Hoping my Jello will wake me up. LolYlime reacted to this -

Your stomach shrunk, same thing happened to me!On 08/11/2018 at 21:41, ElanBri said:
I have essentially NO appetite on the liquid diet. This is the end of week 2 and I can barely tell when I need to drink a shake, oddly enough. -
Good luck to both of you tomorrow! See you both on the post op side!

The most popular shakes are the premier ones. So many different flavors. But if you have a texture problem (I feel your pain). Maybe you need to find a Protein Powder and mix it to your liking with your liquid of choice (milk or water). Best wishes! On 08/12/2018 at 21:35, Mark M. said:
I had my sleeve surgery on august 6th. At time of surgery I was 370 today I am down to 351. This is 6 days post op. I’m CRAVING a slice of pizza soooo bad... lol I’m also having trouble finding a good Protein Shake. I’m an extremely picky eater and have a problem with texture. Any hold would be appreciated. Thanks! -

MoM does the job every time! And it could be a combination of that and natural weight fluctuations or Water. Glad you got some relief though! On 08/12/2018 at 20:11, mercmerc said:
Okay guys! It worked! I pooped haha after the MoM .. could being constipated be a reason why I gained 1 pound from yesterday to today? -

It’s amazing how great I feel! My knees no longer hurt. I’m not out of breath, tired, or achy after walking. I feel like a new person honestly! On 08/09/2018 at 22:30, Chrisb428 said: -
Thank you! At the end of the day I just have to try to get this tool working. I’m sure the stalls will end when my body finally adjusts. I can’t give up on it, that’s not an option. I didn’t go through this to be the same!On 08/09/2018 at 22:27, AELdoesRNY said:

6 weeks post-op today!
I can’t believe how quickly 6 weeks went by. I cannot say that I’m truly happy with my progress. Due to hormones, stress, and everything else my body is just fighting me and not losing at all. If it weren’t for how great I feel, I’d probably have all of the regrets. I do notice slight changes in my body. Everything is looser, my boobs and thighs are shrinking, my tummy is super jiggly (but not smaller). All I can do is keep on pushing through this stall and hoping for the best! -
I just recently bought bariatric capsule Vitamins from ProCare Health. I like them so far. Also bought their calcium chews
