  1. I had my VSG on 08/30 and am currently 2 weeks post op. at 207.8lbs and down 28lbs total. I had a hiatal hernia repair done as well the sleeve gastrectomy and adhesion removal (all intestines and liver was adhered to my abdominal wall). Have been having a lot of mental struggles of missing food and wanting the taste of real flavour and chewing. Its made me realize how much food is a part of our social lives and almost all we do and how food is the real energy source for our bodies. I have been having a lot of severe post up pain under both breast and all around my back. sharp stabbing pain every time I take a breath. I have no idea what its from but its awful, I can barely walk one block. Saw my surgeon today who has cleared me for pureed foods. Looking forward to that. Was also wondering if anyone had some options or recipes for this stage maybe? Im seeing a lot of changes in my face, abdomen, thighs and neck. Next goal is under 200lbs by the end of September!!!!
  2. Thank you for all of your comments. I recently went to my massage therapist who did some myofascial release right on my ribs and intercostals. It hurt like crazy but I no longer have any pain on the left side now. However, that being said I still struggle with wanting the food and such but I am getting through it. Although I now have severe pain by one of the incision sites on the right side by my old hernia mesh. Im wondering if the Dr might have done something to it in this surgery. Really hoping it passes, but it is a severe stabbing pain that doesn't cease. Down 25lbs now, and am slowly getting better. Thanks again for all the kind words!!!
  3. Hey everyone, I was sleeved Aug 30/17 and have had nothing but a rough go since. My pain in hospital was not well managed and I also had a large hiatus hernia repair as well as a bunch of adhesions removed. All of my bowels were adhered together and to my abdominal wall as well as my liver flipped upwards and adhered to the abdominal wall. So, needless to say there was a lot of work done. However, I now am post op day 6 have an awful sharp to dull ache under my left breast all the time and I don't know what to do about it. My MD thought it was just air trapped but its not, Ive been up walking and taking gasx to help with whatever I can. The pain seems to increase when I swallow anything and when I walk around. I find myself starting regret the surgery and want the pain to cease, I have been losing weight, currently 214lbs. Does anyone have similar pain? Does it go away? I take 1 percocet every 4 hours and then I also have medical marijuana to help as well. The only time I am pain free is if I'm very stoned...which is not something I want to be. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
  4. Hey My name is Alexi andI I just had my sleeve completed on Aug 31, came home the next night. I also had numerous hernias and adhesions for the drs to fix which he stated took him 3/4 of his OR time. Upon waking i asked numerous times about medicine to help with gas pains. Know one provided any help, but that is what is killing me. sharp dull pain all throughout my body, mid sternal area. I feel as if the hernia repair is so tight I can't let a single burp out. I was wondering about medicinal marijuana as I use for sleep and anxiety, wanted to know how long I can before I can start using again. I need my sleep to heal. SW : 235 Pre op wt: 221 also good to mention Im 5'8
