I had to take the extender off my bra, and I can sit with my legs crossed comfortably now!! Only 2 weeks post-op!

I would say the two week pre op is definitely part of your journey! I intend to count every single pound lost!! We earn those!

I just keep a record of all the milestone weights
    Highest weight: 191.2kg (421.5lbs) March, 2006
Start Weight: 174.6kg (384.9lbs) 17th July, 2017 (the day I met the surgeon)
Pre-Op Weight: 167.7 (369.7lbs) 4th September, 2017 (the day I started my pre-surgery diet; the day the surgeon announced that 12th October, 2017 as the day of my Gastric Sleeve operation.
Op Weight: ???? 12th October, 2017 ... my weight on the day of the op
    Goal Weight: 74.6kg (164.5lbs) ... date unknown ... I just hope it's in early to mid 2019.

My pre-op weight (when I began the liquid diet) was 277. Day of surgery weight was 266. 17 days post-op and I'm 247! My Dr is thrilled with my results so far, and says I'm ahead of the game (and reminded me to expect stalls, lol). He says I've lost 30lbs according to his chart (in about a month). But it's only 19lbs since surgery date. I'm with y'all, every ounce counts so I'm definitely including all my weight loss in my total, lol! (FYI, highest weight a month before pre-op when I began walking & Portion Control was 283.) Lord have mercy, another number. Haha!

If someone were to ask me today right now how much I've lost, I'd say 30lbs since I started my journey....then I'd probably say 19 of that has been since surgery.

Really, who cares though, right?? I'm just so happy I'm finally losing! It's already so much easier to go for a walk!

I'm counting my highest weight ever down to where I get to the SDW. Then will begin counting the #s from surgery day onward. Don't know how my surgeon is gonna do it. Even though it's almost a 17 year story, it still counts in horseshoes and hand grenades! These are the toughest 87+ lbs I've lost...since the last time I lost them. Today I'm at 50lbs loss (of my regain) since May 3.

I count from my highest weight which is also when I saw my surgeon for first time. My surgeon required a 25 to 30 lb weight loss before surgery so I'm counting those pounds.
I also count my post surgery weight to give me perspective.
From Nov 2016 when I met surgeon to May 2017 surgery lost 51 lbs.
From surgery to today lost 38 lbs.
    When I tell people...i say I've lost 89 lbs.

I count from when I started the pre-op diet, which was 10 days prior to surgery.
That's what made sense to me given that's when there was an immediate and significant change in the management of my diet.

For me, mentally, emotionally and physically the start of the pre-op diet is when this journey began.

I'm counting from my highest weight--coincidentally, the weight I was the first time I saw the surgeon--to now. I lost it all--I'm taking credit for it!

My surgeon is counting my weight loss from my 2 week pre-op prep (liquid diet), not from my day of surgery. Anyone else confused by which number to use?? I have my highest weight number, pre-op weight, and surgery date weight, lol, too many to figure out!

Don't stress. Most doctors and books say to stop eating "when you feel full." So, yes, you're OK to do that. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out also, I'm doing great, and my Dr is thrilled with my results & regimen. Keep taking it easy. Don't go over 2-4 tablespoons or ounces yet, but likely you won't be physically able to anyway. The trick is to not eat anything "as soon as you feel full." Not another bite. Even if we feel great on the outside, the actual stomach is still swollen. My Dr said it's only open about the size of a finger right now, but after a couple months post-op it becomes more like the size of a banana.
Hang in there, you're doing fine!

I eat scrambled eggs with shredded cheese frequently. Dr says at this point if my pouch can handle it, it's fine. Small amounts, chewed well.

I never pureed anything. I am super texture sensitive. I did another week of full liquids, then went to soft foods. I was fine. I will starve before I eat blended food.

My surgeon's program at 2 weeks combines the puree and soft food stage. The NUT advised me to start slow with a list of 8-10 foods and then said after 2 or 3 days, if I'm tolerating those well, I can switch on over to soft foods. I, like you, have had NO problems tolerating anything except one Protein Drink when I was day 5 or 6. I can eat two melba toasts with 2 oz of hummus, sliced deli meat on a melba toast with greek cream cheese, tilapia, refried Beans and cheese (this is the one that sits the heaviest). I haven't tried chicken or tuna salad yet, but im assuming they'll sit like the tilapia (which i mixed with 1/2 T of chipotle sauce...yumm!!!). I even had the sous vide egg white bites from starbucks this morning (took out the peppers though) and had no problems. (YAY!) Was only able to eat one, but took the second one home for lunch. That's right folks, Breakfast and lunch only cost me $4. Ha ha! I, too, chew things really well and eat slow and stop as soon as I feel anything in my chest/tummy. It's been pretty successful. No babyfood for me!

I had my surgery on 8/16 and I pretty much skipped pureed, aside from refried Beans, but since my program allowed soy at this stage I went right to the crumbles and never looked back. I am eating my first bites of chicken today.

I, like you, am not one of them. Texture is the issue here for me too. Love the flavor of bananas, but eating one? ugh.

I am with you, or at least, I will be...my surgery date is October 10. One of the major hang ups for me was the Puree Stage..because as you say, "puke, barf, disgusting". Well put by the way. The though of baby food consistency makes we want to gag even as I type this.
I will be skipping the Puree portion of the program. Or at least, modifying a bit so I don't vomit.

I was sleeved on 8/22/17 (2 weeks out). Everything has been great as far as healing goes, and what my new pouch/sleeve/tummy can tolerate.
I've gone straight from full liquids (cream Soups, oatmeal, etc) to soft foods stage. No issues.
Examples of things I can eat at a time would be 2 wheat thin crackers with chicken salad, green Beans (literally, like 4 small ones) & some baked potato with shredded cheese, peach slices & cheerios (plain, not honey nut, and kinda soggy sitting in milk).
I have not once blended or pureed anything (puke, barf, disgusting!) and so far so good. I just chew really well, take small bites, and eat slowly as to not overfill my pouch.
Anyone else questioning their success?? In regards to food tolerance, that is.
I see so many people in the puree stage, and I'm just wondering if I have any bari-family peeps out there who are just fine 2 weeks out with soft foods.
I'm not trying to sabotage my surgery, but I feel totally alone in the fact that I'm "ok" sooner rather than later. It's kinda messing with my head, ya know? Like, am I really ok? And, it makes me question whether I'll still have such a limited pouch in a few months.

I stalled on day 15 for almost a week. I finally put the scale in the closet because I was getting frustrated and depressed.. After 4 days I noticed my clothes looser. Finally weighed and the scale was moving.. I'm not going to weigh daily anymore! Just once a week..I'll let my clothes show me. 18.5 lbs lost since surgery on the 10th. 30lbs since 2 week pre-op..
Hang in there everyone. We can do this! :-)
