I apologize it i'm not doing this correctly. I am new and not used to online forums. July 17th I had my surgery, and received a gastric sleeve. I was self pay because as a teacher my insurance doesn't cover it. Nor will they pay for a nutritionist so I can't afford to go. I was 300 lbs, but as of today I am 230. Last week I was taken off of my Blood Pressure medicine so I can't complain too much. Eating though is terrible. I constantly get food stuck, and wind up throwing up at work. Yesterday I had to have a sub watch my class while I was praying to the porcelain god Ralph. The paperwork my doctor gave me said I should be on solid foods, but proteins like baked chicken, or grilled hamburger makes me sick. sometimes I can eat 3 oz. of solid food, but sometimes only 2.5. The paperwork says I should be eating 4 oz of protein, and 8 oz. of total food. Totally not happening. Any suggestions? I thought about going back to eating stewed meats, or stuff cooked in the crook pot. I do pretty good with some soups as long as they don't have cream since now I have heartburn and am lactose intolerant. I know food is no longer going to have power over me, but it shouldn't leave me afraid to eat or drink. I am struggling getting my 64 oz. of water a day with the vomiting. Sorry for rambling. I would appreciate and suggestions anyone could give.
