Joint pain on pre-op liquid diet

Another person posted about this...google Keto Flu, since the pre op diet is low carb/Keto, the symptoms are quite similar to the common flu, which would explain the joint or body pains you’re experiencing.

    Papaya enzymes

You can get them at just about any health store or vitamin store. I bought some for my sister and she said they worked well. It’s used to help break down your food and move it through, especially if you ever have that stuck feeling in your throat or chest. It’s worth a try!

    Fibromyalgia Sleevers

It could be Keto Flu, I haven’t done the sleeve yet but from what I’ve read, the Pre Op diet is low carb. As a result, Keto Flu can happen which mimics Flu like symptoms, which is also a characteristic for us Fibromyalgia sufferers ☹️

    Fibromyalgia Sleevers

Cymbalata works great for the pain, but I was already struggling with chronic fatigue and sleepiness all the time, and it just made me more tired and sleepy than I already was. If you can withstand it long enough and get through side effects, it’s great. I’m sorry to hear that surgery isn’t helping much with your pain...

Yay! Finally have a surgery date!

I’ll bet it feels like it’s so far away!
  11. That’s one of my biggest fears is daily vomiting ☹️

    Help!!!! Help me please!!!

I haven’t had the sleeve yet, still in the research phase. Ive heard a few people talk about papaya enzymes. It’s supposed to be really good in helping with the stuck feeling and digestive problems.

    Dating and Social Life

    So true!
  14. How’s dating been for sleevers out there? Just wondering when would be the right time to say anything or if you should say anything. I’m just wondering during outings, like at dinner with someone new you’re dating, and maybe didn’t tell them you had surgery, how do you handle it. I’m thinking they would start to notice how you’re eating...or not eating, especially in the very beginning when you’re on liquids and puréed. I haven’t had surgery yet, hopefully I’ll be approved before the year is up.
  15. I had my initial consultation today with Dr. Davis, of the Davis Clinic here in Houston. I have a BMI of 39.6, 237 lbs at 5'5, and he's suggesting the Sleeve would be the best option for me. Anyone ever been to the Davis Clinic and had a Sleeve, and if so, how well are you doing with it?

I’m glad when I hear people are doing well, I’m always afraid I’ll be that one rare person who has a failed sleeve surgery [emoji33]

    Be Light

Does anyone have experience with Be Lite Weight Loss? They're a scheduling service that have an in house Psychiatrist and Nutritionist who will write the necessary documentation, and will do all the work to get you approved for surgery through your insurance.

    Psych Evaluation

Which one did you use? I just made a post about one called Be Light. Asking if anyone has used it before.
  23. I feel so silly for even posting this concern, but one of the main things holding me back from having weight loss surgery is the constant vomiting of mucus I keep hearing about ☹️. One person I know had the bypass 13 YEARS ago, and till this day, sometimes throws up after meals. One day she can tolerate a certain food and the next time she eats it, she can't. Another person had surgery 2 years ago and still vomits. I mean, is this the norm?
  24. ILOVETEXAS210

    Is Constant Vomiting Normal ☹️?

That's great! I feel at this point it's almost medically necessary for me to have it but if vomiting regularly is the trade off, I don't know if it would be worth it ☹️
