SP2 got a reaction from JoleneH in Day two after my MGB
I am doing so much better! I have lost 35 lbs so far and i am generally feeling better and the lack of energy is not a big issue now,
Also doing good when it comes to drinking the needed Water intake, which is really good coz drinking water was really hard.
The problems i am having now is first of all the Protein issue, i am so sick from Protein Shakes and bars and i cant seem to do good in that at all,
Second i am trying out different types of food to know what i can and cant have this results in a lot of throwing up! But it does get better everyday

I think that it should work itself out as long as you are taking your Vitamins. You are still in the beginning of healing. It will take a little time to get back to 'normal'.

I am more than 8 months out from MGB. It does get easier. I used the Gas-X strips. They worked great for me. I still use them every great once in a while when I get bloated. During my first week of healing I started sleeping on my side, using a small pillow to put under my stomach so I wouldn't feel that 'movement' on the inside of me. That took a little getting used to lol...
I didn't have too much pain after surgery. More like soreness and gas pains, which were really helped by walking. The more walking I did, the more I farted.
Other than feeling like I had no energy at the end of the 2nd week after surgery, I have been feeling fine. Healing good. And to date I have lost 99 lbs since surgery, and 145 lbs from my heaviest weight. Take it a day at a time. Walk. Walk. Walk. It gets better. I have found this stuff for my gas and digestion. It is PAPAYA ENZYMES. It works better than the gas strips by far. Of course, please check with your DR or Team before you use them. I am 4 years out and I have used them since my RNY. Another perk is they are 100% natural and you can buy them at Walmart for less than 4$. Good luck Keep us posted about your Journey.

I definitely have to sleep on my back until I'm healed up, its too painful to be on my side. That was hard for me because I had the urge to roll over a lot. It wasn't until my second day home that a friend suggested wedging a pillow on either side of myself to help prevent that feeling. I slept with two pillows under my back and head to sit me up a bit and one pillow tucked under each side of my body and slept like a baby.

Just take it day by day.. you'll be surprised how much of a difference one day will make. I'm a week out and I feel nearly normal now.
