  1. A little bummed because I still have not heard from the office that does endoscopies to get mine scheduled so I can get my surgery date! Between the holidays and the recent snow, I can understand why, but it's still frustrating. Impatiently waiting!

Call and bug them! I'm not normally a fan of pestering or pissing off the people whom I need to help with my healthcare, but I've also had many situations where people were busy and I wasn't a priority, and as soon as I started being a pest, they made me a priority just to get rid of me! Fine by me.

  2. Holidays are treating me super well.  I had my surgery on the first day of spring.  On Halloween I reached my 100lb loss goal (205lbs).  On Thanksgiving, I reached an even 200lbs!  Shy of onederland, but at least 200 is a nice, round number :)

That's so awesome!! It's not very often we have positive weight loss memories to associate with the holidays - now you have tons! Congratulations and keep up the amazing work :) You are an inspiration to all of us, and one of the members who helped me decide to go to MX - 33 days & counting!!

  4. Today marks 1 month since my VSG. I am 37 lbs down from my initial surgeon visit on 09/11/17, and 21.4 lbs down since surgery 10/16/17. I went from a size 44 pant to a 38, and those are now getting loose. My wardrobe has all been given to goodwill since my clothes were all way too big. I feel great, getting my liquids and protein each and every day, and walking or going to the gym 5 days per week at least. The scale has slowed down the last 10 days or so, but my body is constantly changing. The scale will move. It didn't all get put on overnight, and won't come off overnight. Slower may be better for skin reasons, right? Anyhow, I'm so thankful I did this. Not only do I feel 10 times better, I sleep better, move better, look better, and the constant comments from people isn't bad either! I'm going to bust my butt this next month to see what kind of progress I can make!

Congratulations on your progress and awesome attitude! So excited for you that you are having so many positive results besides just a lower number on the scale. I'm still pre-op so it is still such a rush every time I read a positive outcome, but even negative ones help to educate me, so all feedback is important. Anyway, good luck this coming month at the gym ~ let us know how it goes :)

  6. Had my surgery on Friday 10/27 afternoon. I was doing so well in recovery that they released me after only one night in the hospital :) I've been super fortunate so far, only needing one pain pill in the hospital, and right now just taking liquid ibuprofen. I've been burping since the hospital, but today was my first day at home with protein shakes and finally started passing gas - yay! lol Most of my discomfort is from soreness from the surgery and gas pressure. No issues getting my protein shakes in and keeping them down. All of my docs were super happy with my recovery, and my surgeon said the procedure went perfectly. Here's to the start of my new life!:1310_thumbsup_tone1:
