I know this reply is late but...I would download the Anthem App. I experienced lot of back and forth too. But once I got the app and put in my info in EVERYTHING was spelled out in black n white. It tracks how much has been applied to your deductible, max out-of-pocket, all the surgerys they cover at which hospitals etc. I had to do a 6 mo pre op weight checks btw. But I've heard of ppl getting credit for weight checks-supervised diets done previously.

My diet was 2 weeks, Protein Shake for Breakfast and lunch .. at lunch I was allowed either cottage cheese, a sugar free pudding or a low sugar and cal yogurt ... then for a snack between lunch and dinner, one of those three things .. then for dinner 2 oz of lean meat and 1/2 cup of green vegetables but no sauces. Then I'd get to have another Protein shake before bed because I am diabetic

I had my surgery yesterday.. I feel relatively ok but the carbon dioxide pain in my stomach is driving me crazy

Congrats! Im scheduled for the next day (16th) im excited as well & im also doing so house cleaning. Im retired so im Doing things to stay busy. I reorganized my garage yesterday & today I vaccumed my car out & I made sure I followed my house cleaning schedule. I would hate to come home from the hospital to a dirty house![emoji53]

I have my surgery in the morning. I'm a little nervous but ready. My sisters are coming over to take before pics. Bye, bye being a fat ass!! Btw I'm starving on this clear liquid diet.

Don't beat yourself up about it. I can't tell you how many "last suppers" I had before starting my pre-op liquid diet. I spent the two weeks before eating every last piece of junk that I could get my hands on. By the time I had to start the liquid diet, I was kind of ready to take a break from food for awhile.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not recommending you do this at all. If you can abstain now that will be much better for you in the long run. But if you can't do it now, it doesn't mean you're not taking it seriously or that you won't be able to stick with it for you surgery. I handled my liquid diet like a champ and didn't cheat once. Part of the reason I binged was because I knew it would be the last time. It was my goodbye to my old self and lifestyle.

You can do it! Don't let your brain tell you you can't!

I got approved! I go in for my consultant on the aug 17th!!! Then I hope I get my surgery date! I'm so excited!
