  1. I would like to join. I'm roughly 18 months PO and was down 86 lbs before a 15 lb regain, these last 2 semesters of school have been rough. My goals for May are to lose 8 lbs of my regain (2 lbs per week), get active again and comfortably fit into a smaller size of scrubs (currently in a large and putting on mediums feels like Im going to be trapped forever lol!). That last one might be stretch but we'll see what happens 😉

  2. I wear an ab binder to help with pain. It holds my stomach tight so that when I sneeze, cough or laugh in public it doesn’t hurt as much. It allows me to sleep on my side and reduces my pain when getting up, sitting down or going for a walk. I love mine, I don’t have any expectations that it will help with sagging skin or anything though. I have no idea about shape wear, wish I could help more.

    Have a great day!

  3. Yesterday I made a chicken & egg salad for sandwiches with mayo and it was fine. As far as making my own fast food, I do try to make some of my favorites to save money. Just google chick fil a grilled chicken recipe (or whatever Restaraunt and your fave food and you will find recipes for them [emoji177]

  4. I told my husband that as soon as I am cleared for solids I want to try some of these things, that way if I get sick here I can avoid them when we get there. I will ask my doctor about the crackers. I’m thinking they could be a trigger for me though so probably not a great idea.

  5. I make my tray with meats, cheese, raspberries and almonds.
No crackers - if you place crackers out for your family or nuts on the tray...There is no need for you to eat them them. You can enjoy the other items that are Protein packed.
I use parmesan cheese crisps instead of crackers. You can make your own or buy them.
Step 1 Preheat oven to 400°.
Step 2 Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon cheese by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Spread each mound to a 2-inch diameter. Sprinkle mounds with pepper. Bake at 400° for 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp and golden. Cool completely on baking sheet. Remove from baking sheet using a thin spatula.

Awesome! I want all of that now [emoji23] but I will definitely bring that to the parties! Thank you so much [emoji177]

  6. Thank you, that’s what I will do[emoji1360] I will be on solids just before we leave, I don’t think I will have a chance to try those things before going. I really don’t want to have to throw it up, seems easier to just avoid it. Thank you [emoji16]

  7. We will be visiting family for Christmas this year and I will be at the solid foods stage by then. They are all about the food, their cooking means so much to them if you don’t have something then they will get upset. I’ve looked up most of the nutritional info on the foods and have found some I can eat and others to avoid. The ones I am most unsure of is lumpia (egg rolls) because of the wrapper and pancit because it is noodles. I’m concerned the noodles or wrapper might get hung up or swell up, what do you think? I can bypass them, no problem, but asking just to make sure.

Please don’t think I am asking because I want to return to the foods that made me fat. I didn’t do all of this just to jump into bad habits. I’m going to be there a week and want to make good decisions while I am there. If I have a plan, I can avoid things that won’t work. I’ve done this same thing with Restaraunt’s and fast food joints incase my family decides to go out. I am not allowed to cook while I am there so it’s their food or Protein Shakes.< /p>

  8. Thank you, my sleeve (Audrey) and I are getting along great now lol. I named her Audrey after the plant from Little Shop of Horrors because she doesn’t gently grumble when she wants something, she punches my in the chest and demands it.

  9. My surgery was 11/21 I had nausea for the first 3 days and could only keep things down when on anti nausea meds. Yesterday was the first day I got close to to my 64 oz and was able to drink a whole Protein Drink, today I woke up hungry for the first time. Everyday is getting better. My 7 day clear diet ends on the 29th, I would kill for a tiny bowl of cream Soup

  10. My surgery was Tuesday. Just a couple of oddities. I’m noticing this sound/sensation that reminds me of eating pop rocks. Any one else? Also I’m wonder if it is normal to not have bowel movements during the clear liquid phase.

I don’t know if that is normal but so far I have not had a BM since the day of my surgery. Now that I am steadily taking in Protein again I am going to start adding Fiber and try to get things moving. If that doesn’t work I plan to try a laxative.

  11. @GRITS77 Mine feels like it is shocked when fluids hit it, it seizes up for a second then it goes in. I get the same feeling when (I think) I’m hungry, so it is confusing. That is great that you are able to get all of your fluids in, I look forward to that.

[mention=321206]Mhy12784[/mention] I didn’t want anything either until today. This is the first day that I actually wanted my Water, broth & Protein. I don’t know why mine will still only allow tiny sips at a time [emoji848]

  12. I was a 41 BMI when I started on my 3 month diet, I needed to stay above a 40 for my insurance to allow it so I ended up losing 13 lbs very quickly then had to maintain that weight within 1.5 lbs either direction (or my surgery would’ve been denied) for 2 months plus 5 weeks waiting for my preop diet to start. I lost 13 lbs preop, 11 lbs during the liquid diet, (gained 8 lbs with surgery) and lost that and a few of its buddies as of today.

I enjoyed my liquid diet, I loved the bone broths and can’t wait for my new stomach to let me have them again. Since surgery my diet has been Water for the first 4 days and today I can tolerate some of my Protein Shake and hoping to give Bone Broth a try.

    Have a great day!

  13. Today, for the first time since surgery, I woke up wanting something. For the last few days I’ve had to force down the Water, Protein and broth but today I look forward to it. I took a few sips and no pain from my new stomach. I want to gulp it all down but will not, I will just keep sipping for Now.

Thank God I finally can drink fluids again without pain

    Have a great day!

  14. Called my doc and he managed to get me some anti nausea meds. The nausea is still there but I’m not puking every time I drink anything. Still taking tiny sips (5-7 sips per ounce) to make sure my sleeve doesn’t get angry again. Thanks for the advice

  15. I got my sleeve yesterday and had the worst time trying to keep down the ice chips. I was kept on anti nausea meds the whole time. When I was released today I had to drink & keep down 1 oz of Protein and 3 oz of clears per hour for 3 consecutive hours. I nailed it right away and was sent home. Now that the anti nausea has worn off I can’t keep anything down. Is this normal? What do I do? Now I wish I would’ve stayed a day more like my surgery buddy did

    Have a great day!

  16. Yesterday I had my surgery, the first few hours were rough. Nausea from the anesthesia was rough and the gas pains were no joke. I tried to walk a few minutes every hour from about 5 hours out of surgery on and it helped. My surgeon is against using gas-x so I was not allowed to use mine. I passed the barium swallow and now I need 3 consecutive hours of drinking and keeping down 4 oz of either Water, broth, crystal light or Protein Drink. So far so good

  17. Tomorrow afternoon is the big day for me! I am self pay and going to Mexico by myself. Flying from the eastcoast so it will be a very long day. Surgery time is around 2:30 pm (5:30 pm my time). Very excited, not really nervous, but am sure I will be tomorrow afternoon. Let's do this! [emoji16] Prayers are welcomed!

We’re almost there [emoji1373] I am starting to feel nervous though, I got the preop Check in call this morning and it got real, fast. Check in is at 6am and surgery starts at 7:30 tomorrow morning. 🤞🏼 I am going crazy cleaning and purging the house of spring/summer fat clothes. Keeping them feels like I’m betting against myself and I’m determined to never fit into those clothes again [emoji1377]
