    Workout Suggestions

for the most fat burning dont eat before workout and do your lifting first followed by treadmill for at least 30 minutes, longer if your up to it. the reasoning behind this is to deplete blood glucose levels during lifting and force your body to access stored fat. stored fat is always the energy source of last resort, survival mechanism, so dont give yourself easy energy and let your body break down those fatty acid chains for fuel. you dont mention being a diabetic but i have caught enough **** from others about forcing down blood glucose that if you have diabetic issues just disregard this post

    Anyone try bananas? When?

Use caution, as a post yesterday showed not everyone has a good reaction to the sugars in fruit and bananas are real high on that sugar. When the times comes make sure you dont have to be anywhere for the next 4-6 hours in case you end up sitting in the bathroom all morning

    Help!!

Walking, Water and Time Stay hydrated and walk as often as you can. The motion from walking helps to move the trapped air out and promotes healing.
  7. Milestone date for me on this journey. I now weigh the same as the day i got out of boot camp in 1984 and is the least i have ever weighed as an adult.

  8. getting dressed to go see a play tonight and i realized i could put both hands, palm flat between me and my pants. i grabbed the tape measure and 37" freaking inches . i had stopped measuring when when i broke 40" cause that's the magic number to be under for health along with bmi. July has been a slow month for me so this was a great boost to my morale this month. weigh-in is Saturday and i will hold out till morning to see the weight number.

Constipated ten days post op-ducolax ok?

i had no problems with it. dont suffer needlessly then try to increase both fiber and water as you can. It is real hard right after surgery so just work on it and take the pills till you get there just realized you said 10 days never mind the fiber for now just work the water

    Caffeine

doctors trained along time ago and very few change much when new studies cast doubt on old beliefs skip the coffee at the start till you have a good grip on hydration then do as you want with coffee.

  14. Deep breaths, in thru the nose out thru the mouth, it will be ok and the results will be worth all the mental stress you are feeling right now. The Doctors and the hospital do this on a regular basis and all you need to do is show up on time and follow thru with your decision. Good luck on Wednesday and we look forward to seeing around post op for the updates on your progress.

    Unexpected NSV

I would say something about women and there clothes BUT the day i put on my 34x29 button fly 501's you couldn't get that **** eating grin off my face with a dozen funerals grats
  16. have you had surgery before? everyone reacts different to the surgery. some bounce right back and the only thing holding them back is the time needed for all those stitches to heal. others react poorly to being put under and take longer to recover from the stress your body is put thru by this procedure. Only you can maybe know how you will react if you have been under for another reason. desk job with fixed hours and no lifting - 2 weeks would work manual labor with heavy lifting - 6 weeks easy look at your daily routine and decide then take all you can and be nice to yourself for a few weeks

    I need help

ok music i'll take a stab at it. You don't mention medical conditions or meds so i will assume you dont have either issue. 1. hydrate - water water water - zero soda even the fake sugar **** 2. protein 3. veggies - green first followed by a mix of other colors 4. no added sugar - none at all - the closer you work towards this the easier it will get 5. no processed carbs. you dont eat from the middle isles of the store, only from the 3 walls. 6. no fruit if you are stalled 7. no snacking after dinner - nothing but water 8. if your exercise does not leave you a wet mess just like your first week you are doing it wrong. work out in a fasted state for more fat burning. resistance training first to burn down blood sugar then treadmill Do with this what you want but you did ask. Nobody starts here it is what you work towards week by week. it will not happen fast you have to keep it up for several months to get results. good luck

    Stigma with WLS

i know it is an individual decision to tell or not to to tell but i strongly believe the less you talk about it pre-op the better off you are. you can always talk later but you can never untell (i know its not a word) someone and you are vulnerable pre-op to the extreme and sometimes nasty comments of co-workers and sadly family I am sorry you are surrounded by so my idiots, hang in there and in a few months they will be pulling you aside and asking if was hard cause they are thinking about it now. The best revenge is success.
