  1. Holidays are treating me super well.  I had my surgery on the first day of spring.  On Halloween I reached my 100lb loss goal (205lbs).  On Thanksgiving, I reached an even 200lbs!  Shy of onederland, but at least 200 is a nice, round number :)

  2. The worst dumping episode

On Friday night I had the worst dumping episode to date. I have had nothing like it so far, just mildly and immediately after I have eaten, this was a case of late dumping.

I didn't eat much or as regularly as I would normally do, as I had the day off, and things are never how they usually are. I also donated plasma in the morning, not that I have ever had problems with that before.
In the afternoon I had a few reeses covered pretzels (Yes, I know) and didn't think anything of it. I was playing with my dog on the floor, was a little tired, but nothing unusual, and then woke up over and hour later. I was shaking, heart racing, sweating, legs like logs, stomach not too happy.

I knew I had to eat, so managed to get some food in me, forced myself to walk my dog half a block and then went to bed and stayed there for 12 h. On Saturday I still wasn't back to normal, a friend also telling me that I was extremely pale. As the day progressed I got better, and Sunday was no problem, went and worked out as normal.

But what a horrible experience. Guess who has another intensive to stay away from sugar.

That sounds really scary! I'm glad you knew exactly what to do to bring yourself out of it!

  3. Finally breaking out of a month-long, self-inflicted stall. I found out the hard way that you can still squeeze plenty of empty calories and carbs into your tiny stomach if you aren't being disciplined & following your plan. Back on track, now, and just broke into triple digits! Gonna stay focused, keep tracking and make sure protein goals are always met. :D

Good for you! Glad you're back on track and wishing you the best!

  4. Today is a special day!  I'm 6 months and 3 days postop, and the scale now reads the same weight I was when I graduated from High School (215)!  Ok, so .. yes, I was fat when I was 17!  Lol.  After graduating, I started dieting, and so from the ages of 18 to 23, I usually weighed somewhere between 145 and 200.  But after turning 23 and having had 3 pregnancies, I never got back down to onederland... (I'm almost 39 now).

  5. Broke my first chair yesterday :(  Yep.. weighed 300lbs for almost a decade, lose 84lbs, THEN break a chair!  LOL!  I was helping hubby at his work, cleaning up a kids' toy room.  Used a chair to stand on to get toys off the top of a shelf, and danged if it didn't snap suddenly under me.  It was one of those ancient school chairs...

{Shallow Hal moment.. what was the chair made of, anyway?  Uhh.. steeellll....)

Knocked me, face first, onto the concrete floor.  I lucked out with just some bruises.  I'm super weak, which I think worked out in my favor, because I tried, instinctively, to catch myself with an outstretched arm, but it just crumpled under the impact.  If I'd been stronger, I would have wrenched my shoulder, probably tearing my rotator cuff.

+1 for no gym time yet!  LOL!

Oh boy! I'm so soory that happened to you, but glad you're ok! It could have happened to anyone, but we've all been there. I broke a couch once. Stood on it to hang Christmas lights on the window behind the couch and the frame snapped right under me. I didn't fall or get hurt but for years I've had to listen to my kids yell, "I'm in the hole!!!" everytime one of them sits on that side of the couch. Funny...but then again, not so much :)
