  1. Hi Pammieanne,

I just joined bariatric pal because I have to consider bariatric surgery again (I have a lap-band, lost 50 pounds and gained it all back).  I see how much you've lost and I'm so inspired!  But, if you don't mind my asking (you look like you're approximately my age), did your body bounce back?   I'm kind of afraid I'll have loose skin all over the place.   Did you exercise a lot?  Anything you could tell me would be helpful.  Thanks very much.

    Very nervous me!

      Hi April,

I do have some flabby wrinkled skin, but I also think it depends on how you have carried your weight and genetics as to how much excess skin you have. To think you won't have excess skin after losing over 120lbs would be silly.

I'm totally find with it. Yes, I hate it, but no, I would not rather have stayed SMO to keep smooth skin. I am lucky in that I have no overhang on my stomach, and I actually wore a two piece bikini in Cancun this year. I look more like a latex balloon that's been sitting around on the floor for two weeks! LOL

Sorry it took me so long to post to you. I tend to not spend a lot of time on this message board anymore, as I'm usually over on obesityhelp.

      Thanks!

  2. Hi! Congratulations on your success! (i can't imagine what it feels like.) I had the lap-band 7 years ago and after initial success gained all the weight back. I'm considering a revision to gastric bypass and I just saw in this forum the procedure you had - the mini GP. Can you tell me what the difference is? Or why you decided to do the mini rather than the regular gastric bypass? I would really appreciate your insight! Thank you!
