Yes that is boring for sure. I use to buy lunchmeat and roll laughing cow up in it around 2 months. tuna packets have a lot of different flavors with some cottage cheese, although you probably wont be able to finish at 2 months out. I liked adells chicken meatballs with peach salsa (found that on youtube, you might be able to get 2 in ) Chobani key lime yogurt was and still is a favorite of mine. Any kind of seafood I ate.

  2. Congrats on the beginning of a new you !

I was the crazy lady who weighed in everyday and went nuts, but I couldn't help it. I had to know what was going on everyday. 🀣

I ate what ever I was allowed and had no problems except anything with Tomato in it tasted weird for quite awhile, but not anymore.

  3. I weighed and logged everything the first 16 months, then I stopped. I just started doing it again because my weight crept up on me a few weeks ago 10 lbs !! I have gone back down 5 lb with 5 lb more to go. Your sleeve will eventually relax so knowing how much you are eating is very important. Best of Luck

  4. I had also read that the sleeve was more restrictive then the RNY, which was one of the bigger reasons I switched to sleeve, but the acid issues are still daily for me 2 years out. The meds do keep me from waking up choking on acid, which is good as you can imagine. Good luck

i been taking them for years now..everyday,,,

I know a LOT of people who have been on them for years and are doing fine. Spoke to my Dr. about it yesterday and as long as you get your bones checked and your body is absorbing Vitamins ect it is fine, better then getting cancer and not taking the PPI.

Nice, did it affect your weight loss at all? Did it help? Did it make you have a stall? My body did really well with watermelon pre surgery, but reading everyone's opinions on it on here makes me worried and has me thinking I shouldn't have it. I am exactly 6 weeks out. I feel like it wouldn't hurt to try?

It didn't affect anything for me and at the time it was in season. My Bariatric team didn't agree with the Keto and wanted us to have veggies and fruits in our diets, they said keto would mess with our metabolism later on when we did eat those things later. Everyone has different views I chose to go with the Drs. and nutritionist for my plan.

I’m marinating chicken breasts in jerk seasoning to grill tonight. Anyone have some ideas to pair with it other than salad? This is my personal list of starchy carb foods. I’m ok with these because I don’t find myself wanting more or overindulging.

1/4 cup rice, 1 slice of whole grain bread, 1/2 ear of corn or corn tortillas.

I’ll probably end up making salad lol.

Personally I would do the rice since you are in maintenance, but that is just me.

  8. Today Breakfast 1 egg, 3 slices of bacon, and 1 package of grits. I was too full and could not drink for 2 hours.

    lunch cantaloupe and cottage cheese

    snack Chobani key lime yogurt

dinner will be Tyson chicken fried steak patty baked, mashed potato 1/4 cup , and peas. Like before I wont be able to eat all my dinner and will save for later tonight. Calories hit around 1200

  9. I took a break and just tried maintaining after the first year. Then this past December I started losing again. I lost 5 lbs in my 23rd month and have kept it off. My body I think just needed that break to get going again.

  10. My original goal weight was 180 set by both the surgeon and myself. I made goal my first year and then I set the 170 goal which I have also made and stayed under for the last few months. I have lost approximately 90 + % of my excess weight. I wear a size 10 jeans and med tops and am comfortable where I am, although sometimes part of me says I should get to 155 for the normal BMI. The other part says if I didn't have the extra skin I would be there, sigh.
