When can I have some rice? Lol

Did you have by pass or the sleeve ? I have no problems with it myself and I am pretty sure I waited until 6 months post op.
  2. I looked that up to see what it is (Carafate) and it said it was for ulcers ? I guess it has more uses then just for that?
  3. Is what you are doing working ? I have GERD and it started as soon as I had the surgery. They put me on ompezole which didn't work, then Dexilant which I still take today but my dose has been halved this last 3 months. Hope to be able to get off the PPI someday.
  4. Shakes do nothing for me except add more protein. Can you eat scrambled eggs and bacon in morning or turkey sausage patty ? It is always best to eat solid protein all 3 meals. Good luck and Happy 4th !
  5. I have it and if you have reflux you will know, it comes out through the nose and mouth while sleeping and you wake up choking ( this is my experience with it) I take meds for it and don't have that problem anymore, although I still have heartburn and take antacids when I need to. Spicy foods make it worse for me.
  6. What are you eating at lunch and dinner ?

    Excess skin

Ugh, if I had the money or insurance would pay I would do it . My weight loss was everywhere and I wasn't expecting the sagging thighs. I just watch everything I wear. The arms are the worst for me. I wear a medium top, but my coats and jackets are Extra large to fit my arms.
  8. I was on full liquids the first 10 days cream of wheat, yogurt, creamed soups, smoothies, oatmeal, ect. Then soft foods scrambled eggs, beans, cheese, grits. Drs. guidelines vary so much that first month. Good luck to you
  9. Not quite sure when it started, but I have noticed it more the past 6 months. This may be because I quit logging my food and obsessing on it everyday. I actually lost about 6-8 lbs doing this and I know that sounds crazy but that is what happened.
  10. I eat whatever I want, when I want. My problem at 311 lbs was more portion control then anything. I feel like I wasn't a really bad eater, it was the amounts I was eating for the most part. I weigh everyday and if I hit 175 lbs I hit the breaks for a day or two and this works for me. I am in maintenance though. When I was in weight loss stage I stuck to my diet and only went off when I would go out of town or holidays with family.
  11. I do the same thing. Mostly I have noticed big pouch days where I ate things a should not have eaten(slider foods) I have been having quite a bit of small pouch days lately, Where I only get in about 1000 calories and the scale is moving down. Once I hit a big pouch day I will gain 2 or 3 lbs over 2 or 3 days and hold. My body has a set point of 172 lbs
  12. I am 3 weeks from being 2 years out and have great restriction. I made chicken teriyaki with broccoli and rice last night for dinner. I ate 2 broccoli florets and 2 oz of chicken with a couple of bites of rice and I was stuffed. Hope that gives you an idea. Just make sure you eat protein first.
