Out With the Old--In With the New!

Awww, great NSVs!! Clean checkups and new clothes! I was getting ready to go out last week and my shorts literally fell down to my knees LOL 16 W's. I was also thrilled, and got myself a couple of 16s. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app -
I just sent my husband to the clinic for something for his tummy. Oh yes he did -- he ate so much he is sick for going on 24 hours now. 2 months of eating fish, chicken and frozen Veges, then too much and too rich did him in!! Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

I think you are just in your Week 3, 3-week stall, which is just part of the process (but tough when you are in it). Its funny how the weight and measurements operate independently. This morning, I was getting ready and my shorts literally fell down below my hips, LOL and woot!

Follow the insurance rules, too. Specifically about the required time spans between RD appointments. And stay calm during the testing phase, it can be pretty unnerving to get so many tests.

After some research, I found a gym that I really like -- traditional gym stuff, plus a heavy focus on pilates, yoga, barre and TRX classes. But, I wonder if I am fit enough at 2 months to tackle gym classes? How long did you wait to join a gym?

I’ve been drinking coffee with half and half for many decades. Noe, I find that a very bold coffee (like Starbucks Morning Joe) mixed 50-50 with premier protein works. I’m not a fan of sweet, either, so the coffee has to be bold and strong.

My goal is to get my waist to less than half of my height, or 32 inches. My body is apple-shaped (hence my name), and this is the most dangerous shape for heart health. At 188 pounds, its 42, yes 42! I may needa tummy tuck to get there, the kind where the muscles are stitched together.

When did you join a gym?
Apple203 replied to Apple203's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
OK, I'm starting to feel a little more confident -- you guys rock!! This gym has entry level classes for "post-rehab and beginner wellness programs", like stretch & balance, core, monthly workshops for yoga and TXR newbies, and a series of recommended small focus classes for pilates newbies. There is a weight circuit that you set up with a personal trainer that is computerized with your settings and reps -- I thought that was interesting. -
When did you join a gym?
Apple203 replied to Apple203's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm thinking about starting with a personal trainer at this gym, too, when I do join. They have a discounted rate for new members -- 5 sessions for $200. -

I can't giver it up yet, but the concept seems really smart to me. -
I learned something new today -- thanks!!

@Kay07 We cross-posted almost the same advice!

Welcome! My suggestion is to contact your insurance company and ask them to send you your policy for bariatric surgery. Then add a month to that for approval and scheduling. :-)

Surgeon says go ahead.. do I take the bite? Or wait?

I would go for it!!! Congratulations on the terrific weight loss. :-) -
Aw man, this happened to me today at lunch — very dry leftover ground beef from tacos last night. It stuck in between for HOURS. Not. It was frustrating, tried to cough it up, gave up, forgot about it. :-)

6 months Post op and can eat a whole burrito in 3 hours!
Apple203 replied to VSG_Meow_Bitch's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should not be doing this. I was instructed from the start to eat what I could in 30 minutes then put it away for the next meal (4 hours later). I even had to do this with protein shakes in the beginning. Maybe try that? -

You are highly motivated for sure, and it is NOT a bad thing to give a project 100% effort -- this is 'Murica and we celebrate success!! My diet macros are the same as yours -- my RD would be happy with you :-)
