gosh what's that??? just kidding! my LMP was November 4, 2011 and i wasn't sure what to expect post surgery. I'm only 48 but if i'm probably pre menopausal. Went for annual and everything checks out ok so maybe Aunt Flo will show up and maybe she won't. After 35 years, i can't really say that I miss it. Its been kind of nice not having to deal with it, however; i stay prepared just in case. Now that i've had surgery and my hormones are doing something different i'll let you know if she shows up

Ok, so I did it and this is day 3, feeling pretty good. I had my gallbladder removed and hiatel hernia repaired along with being sleeved. No complications, just feeling sore around my belly button but otherwise in good spirits. I have had Jello and broth with no issues. So far so good and being discharged at 1pm. Yeah!

Yes! But I'm afraid of the OR. My emergency c section 26 years ago was traumatic. I just put my bag in the car, and we are heading to Florida after work for surgery on Friday. It finally seems real.

Just breathe and remember why you're doing this. From what I have read, our feelings are totally normal.

I am so nervous. Strange how everyone asks you if you are excited- gee I am just having 2/3 of my stomach removed, I wouldn't say excited is the word but more like anxious and nervous. I guess they ask about being excited because they know that I will lose weight. I am 48 yrs old, 5'8" and weigh 283. I have always been heavy but I carry it well. I am looking forward to living a life as the "real" me. The person who wants to go zip lining but is too heavy, that loves amusement rides but is fearful the safety harness will not hold due to weight. The person that can board a plane and not stress over the seat belt not fitting or being placed in the middle seat. A person who can wear shorts and sleeveless shirts in public and not be embarrassed. The person who's knees are in agony because of so much weight. I'm excited to be that person, so maybe I am actually a little excited but I am the type that has to see it to believe it. I know I will be that person someday but the reality has not kicked in. I look forward to the journey I am about to take and would like to get to know others on that same journey.
