Tomorrow I finally get my sleeve. I can't believe how slow the time has gone. The last 6 months DRAGGED. Now this last week everything feels like its going so fast! I haven't even packed. I'm scheduled to be at the hospital at 10 AM. Looking forward to getting to the other side.
Who else is getting surgery tomorrow?

I thought that 24/7, but always came back you haven't done it 54 years so try something new, i went with a doctor who has been doing it a long time and felt pretty secure on a solid procedure and it has been.

It's today, it's today, it's finally today. I had excited butterflies all day yesterday. I am so ready for this. Second chance starts today 💚

Just got my surgery date yesterday of 10/24. They only have me on a pre op diet for the day before surgery and I can have any liquid like slim fast or Protein Shakes or Jamba juice and then midnight before surgery Clear Liquids. I asked why did I find that many people were doing a two week preop clear liquid diet and they said they just never made that a practice at my facility.... I’m shocked. I was mentally preparing myself too.

I'm right behind you. The 17th. Have to be there at 6:30 am for an 8 am surgery. As hard as one tries to get it off their mind ( movies, reading) it's impossible not to dwell on. It's an anxious time.. anticipatory time... etc etc

Ugh I'm getting nervous by the day have to be there monday before 6 am my surgery is at 7:30 I'm sooo excited to start my new journey but I know with God on all of us side we will be okay our day is approaching really fast getting anxious by the minute I wanna say congrats for all the October sleevers thats getting sleeved this month/year

I got my staples out this morning and my incisions feel SO MUCH better. It didn't hurt at all for those who may be worried about it. I finally got my 64 oz in yesterday, and it's still tough. One more week of Clear Liquids and then I move onto purees. Down 14 pounds since surgery and I still feel like I have a bit of bloating left.
Overall, hanging in there and getting back to my normal routine now that I am a week out. It's amazing how far you come in a week, this time last week I was in so much pain I thought I wouldn't make it, now I'm off my tylenol regularly.

I wanted to weigh in before I got discharged and he nurse told me no, to wait until by 3 week checkup because of all the fluids and gasses that get built up, it wouldn’t be accurate. So I’m trying to hold out for that, then I’ll buy a scale. But I have these one pair of jeans that I couldn’t get into comfortably before surgery that I plan on wearing my first day back to work. So that will give me some idea :-) ppl have commented that my face looks slimmer which is always the first place that looses whenever I loose weight, so something is happening. I wish you the best! It was difficult. That discipline is needed for post op too. Keep that in mind. I had headaches and was very week on preop diet. I am now 4 weeks post op and have pretty much forgotten all about preop. It's worth it to stay the course. Good luck. There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Having my surgery 10/10! Excited and nervous

I finally did it. God brought me through this surgery without any complications. My doctor removed my gallbladder and repaired my hernia. I’m home now from the hospital. Only had to stay one night.
All the staff and my doctor really took care of me. Now, that this is out of the way, the real journey begins...

Atkins low carb 1st phase 20 grams of carbs, Water and walk.

I should be October 16th! I was submitted for approval yesterday!

I HAD A "DUMMY" DATE OCTOBER 19TH AND I WAS APPROVED LAST MONTH SO MY SURGERY DATE IS STILL OCTOBER 19TH....

Possibly late September to Early October.
