It feels great doesn't it? I'm 9 months post op and I've gone from a snug 22 to a comfortable 12/14 depending on brand. It's so strange to me to go to straight size stores and be able to find stuff to buy.
I've always been a jeans girl, even at my highest weight though moving into those 22 was hard as hell, I've never been comfortable in leggings but it was getting so hard to find a good pair of jeans and expensive too that I started wearing leggings last fall. My favorite Lane Bryant jeans set me back 80.00 a pair. These jeans cost me 11.00 at Sears and they are so comfortable.

Thanks! The one thing I did as I was losing weight to sort of reward myself was to buy jeans. (not super expensive ones though!) Go out there and get some..smaller sizes make you feel great!!

I have been trying to revel in these as sometimes the scale may not budge and I want to keep encouraging myself. My NSV this week was having to buy new jeans because I shrank out of all my old ones, and having to get rid of my old dress shirts. I went from a 3/4x to an xl now and 22/24 to 16/17 pants. As a reward this Sunday I'm going to an amusement park with some friends. this will be the first time in years that I have gone and not been afraid of fitting on the rides. What's your NSV's? Please share your successes!

Accepting that the changes are real is a fight at times. Our perceptions are so much in our minds. I had sleeve surgery on 7/26. I'm down 32 pounds since then and 72 over all. I'm deeply grateful and humbled and what is happening to me.

I love my sleeve because it has cured my high blood pressure.

    Your turn?
I like hearing positive things about others, some of you may know I am in the hospital at the moment, have been since last Sunday, not sleeve related so my sleeve excitement has been put in the back ground but still so happy with my sleeve, though it makes it hard when your sick as I can not drink or eat enough when feeling unwell, but I would not change it for the world so just need to remind myself of all the good things that people love their sleeve for. I also loved reading stuff like this pre sleeve to see what I may have to look forward to.

Hi! I'm 5'2.5" and 63 years old. When I met my primary care physician in September 2016, I weighed 272 lbs. I met with my surgeon in October. I had my sleeve surgery May 3, 2017 and weighed 254. I was so worried that I wasn't going to lose much weight because of my age. At first, I didn't think I was losing fast enough, but then I really started doing well. This morning, when I got on the scale, it said I weighed 199.6!!!!! I have not weighed in the 100's since I don't remember when. I am so happy I did this. I feel so much better Healthwise and I am off most medications. I also have hypothyroidism.

You are doing great! And you are so right about how much of this is a mindset thing. I never would have imagined being satisfied and happy with so little food on my plate, but I just feel so good. I have a long way to go, but I know we can do this!
