  1. I only told a few people that were going to help me after surgery. Anyone else, I've kept it to myself and told them I was going in for surgery for something else. I just feel like I don't need to explain how I'm losing weight and taking care of myself. I can see how people may be Jealous , but they can go and get the surgery through their insurance if they need it too.

As a professional Kidney Stone rep, I can tell you I get them about every three months. I actually had one last week while I was on vacation. Each and every kidney stone is different in the way it presents itself. Some are non eventful and pass, others notsomuch, and I end up in the ER, or having lithotripsy. Depending on the location of the stone, that is where you are going to feel pain. My first indication is nausea. Unfortunately, even though I had a kidney stone pass last week, I have been nauseous for three day's now so I probably have another one in the works. You can also get a feeling like you have a bladder infection. I then start feeling pain, and this can me in my lower back, and even my abdomen. I have had them for the last few years, and just had my first post surgery. I was told by my Dr. to be extra diligent with the Water. Hope this helps!

Ouch !! Yes, I heard they are very painful and I don't wish that on anyone. I think my pain was from my muscles in my stomach. I got so out of shape that now I use those muscles more.

Im 3weeks post op gatric bypass and im still feeling sluggish i have had some episodes where my heart was racing i thought i was having a heart attack i called my surgeon he referred me to a cardiologist who thinks that its dumping syndrome but it happens even when i don't drink or eat it feels like anxiety attacks but im getting ready to do lots of test that the cardiologist orderd has anyone experience this im trying to be strong but it seems like Now depression trying to slide in

Hi, You will get so many symptoms after surgery because your body has changed. My emotions after surgery were so bad from the meds they used to put me under and the calorie intake was so low that I felt deprived. I'm almost 8 weeks after Surgery and I'm able to eat a little bit more and I'm starting to feel better. My Surgeon said it was normal to feel depressed and lots of anxiety after this massive change to your lifestyle. I feel what you are going through. It's sure different. Keep reminding yourself that your body is going through changes from the surgery and it will calm your anxiety down a little. :)

I'm almost 3 months and still get that. It is getting better though. I think you have to take a little, whatever is tolerable I'd say and you'll start to get used to it the more you eat it . Also, I know get full alot quicker from chicken than yogurt. Therefore I try to go slower when eating meat and anticipate that I'll need to stop eating alot sooner than with other foods. I also have that pain with drinking after eating sometimes even a good 2 hrs after I eat. I have to be careful with that first drink after eating to see how it will feel.

I need to slow down when I eat!! I'm so hungry because I can't eat much anyways.

The three most important elements after RNY gastric bypass surgery are to meet your daily Protein, Fluid and Vitamin requirements. food is secondary because your body is converting your stored fat into the energy that drives your body. Thus you lose weight.

Weight loss is achieved after surgery through meal volume control. You begin at 2 ounces (1/4 cup) per meal and gradually over the next year and a half increase the volume to 1 cup per meal. With this minuscule amount of food, it is next to impossible to meet your Protein daily requirements by food alone, so therefore you need to rely on supplements such as Protein Shakes.

James, I know all this. You don't seem to understand what I'm saying and feeling :( you're not helping. :(

Solid foods such as chicken and steak can be difficult to eat. There is no need to rush things.

For chicken it must be very soft. For example, take a chicken breast and boil it in Water with a couple bouillion cubes on low heat for several hours. When the chicken falls easily apart with a fork then it is done.

I have found softer foods such as chili and Soups went down much easier and had more flavor so that is what I primarily stayed with. I have attached some recipes at the end of the following article. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery.pdf

The hurry is I'm hungry and want to eat! :( I need food to survive and for my mental Health !. :(
