Hey y'all. Apparently the worst is yet to come, or here now? Harvey doesn't want to dissipate I guess. Got word that my house is intact. Yay! but because of the winds, we have a large live oak tree that was somewhat uprooted and leaning towards our house now. Grace would have it that it stays that way until we can get home and cut it down; but if not, then I'll be expecting it to topple on our little house. (That's what insurance is for eh?, lol). @FluffyChix are you in SA?

Oh man, me too! (Hate that this is happening...) Mr. Fluffy and I were JUST talking about this a couple weeks ago, how it seems like all the huge, catastrophic storms hit us in September. And here we are, right at September and Texas is hit with a Cat4 again. I really hope they're safe. Corpus area has predicted a 6-12' storm surge. We're expecting 30-40 inches of rain with it. Flooding is gonna be crap!

It's category 4, as you probably know now. We're safe, at my brothers on the NW side which is supposed to be better in terms of how much rain it gets. We've stocked up here as well. @Berry78...definitely something wet. 😂

@Berry78 are you in San Antone? It sucks cuz San Antonio and the Hill Country almost always gets a heavy aftermath, especially when they come in around Corpus, Brownsville, Port O'Connor, etc. ((hugs)) and stay dry! Terrifying that 200 miles away doesn't exempt you!

San Antonio is gonna have trouble too... such a big storm that even going 200 miles doesn't get you completely in the clear... craziness

Yeah, Corpus Christi here. We left yesterday and are in SA. I don't think my house will be there when it's over (we're right on the coast). Kind of odd to think about, but we're safe and that's all that matters right now.

I think this might be a good time for the affected Texans to head to.. *anywhere* to visit family or friends for a week or two. (I'm in Maryland, so it won't impact me, except if they call up my hubby's National Guard unit.. they got called out for Katrina cleanup.. so it is possible).

So it went well. I'm not too worried. The report said, "irregular z-line," possible Barrett's esophagus. The doc wasn't very worried. I take it that it's a very common finding. But interestingly, he said it's from GERD, but my esoph didn't show any signs of active GERD or inflammation other than the weird junction of the esoph to the tum. I've been doing this VLEverything diet since May and before that, my GERD was cra-cra. And now, I've quit taking my PPI for the last 2 weeks. We're waiting for the biopsies which will take a week.

Ha! That's what the fast forward button is for. I haven't even had surgery, just trying to stick like glue to my pre-surg diet and the commercials are psycho killers!!!!
