Sounds like me except I've never run before. Maybe later this summer. I'm set for Jan 9th.

Anyone try this gadget? It's a hydration reminder bottle attachment.

That's my story. If the band was full, I couldn't eat right. Too loose, it was useless.
I had it removed a couple of months ago. It was causing me pain at the port site (in addition to being useless). Maybe it was the "complication" that helped with my approval for VSG. JUST got it a few hours ago. January is my date. -
I buy this on Amazon. It's good. Not sweet.

Is your family not supportive? For me, I need there support. What about holidays? They will know sooner rather than later.

If you tell them AFTERWARDS they can't try to talk you out of anything.

I'm on track to have surgery by November. My sleep study was just denied, too.

Struggling. Hungry. If I could do this easily, I wouldn't need this procedure.
Sigh.

Hi Geri. Removal went fast. I was waking up in recovery after an hour. I feel a bit sore, but it's not too bad. I was sent home with a prescription pain med but haven't really needed it. I'm home from work today but plan on going tomorrow afternoon. I'm so happy to have that thing out. I was having port pain and it just wasn't working for me at all. I had it put in 5 years ago. This is SO MUCH EASIER than when it went in.

Geri, your story is nearly my story. My band was removed yesterday. I'm working on insurance requirements. Revision will hopefully be scheduled for November. I haven't committed to sleeve or bypass, but leaning towards the sleeve.

I will be 53 soon. Was banded 7 years ago and it hasn't worked for me.. I had it removed today. Considering revision to sleeve but haven't ruled out bypass. Dr prefers to do as 2 separate procedures to allow healing time. Ok with me. I am working towards requirements for insurance.

Your sister has the right plan, I got guilted into it by my husband because we have two small kids and she is going to "help" while I recover. I honestly have told 4 people in total and not sure when I'll be ready to share beyond that -if ever. The way I look at, people judge me bc I am fat, they'll judge me bc I had to loose so much weight in the first place, they'll judge me for being a mets fan...and the list goes on and on. Right now, I'm just worried about how I judge me- the rest will figure itself out
...oh and my MIL is un invited to thanksgiving hahaha
You're a Mets Fan? phff.

Who did you tell that you had WLS? Did you find it helpful that others knew? How supportive were others? I'm considering being open about it in hopes that it keeps me on track and I'll have less explaining to do later.
How long before others noticed your weight loss?

How many pounds did you loose before people started to notice? Did people seem to notice the pounds rapidly coming off? Did they question it? Your response?
