    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

Me too! I JUST realized that it is exactly one month from today! Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. I am pre-op, but not the liquid phase yet...I'm just trying to keep it under 1200 calories. I will be praying this week (Thanksgiving week) for those of you on liquids prior to surgery, for those who recently had surgery and are on a restricted phase and even those who are post op who eat what they want... the most dangerous phase. The struggle is real. God bless us all.
  4. Hysterical!!! [emoji4] thanks for the chuckle.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

January 8. It should come quickly with the busy holiday schedule to keep us occupied. I also wondered about the vitamins. I thought that I'd wait until my pre-op appointment to ask for suggestions. Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app

    I didn't eat cake!

I pray that I have your experience post-op.
  8. There was cake and other goodies at work today. I didn't have any of it. I wanted it.

  12. Like needing to loose nearly 100 pounds isn't enough??? My daughter (who is large) said that to me. I replied, "My BMI is 40 and i'm having health complications."

    I didn't eat cake!

Oh, I don't know about that. You did good. Sometimes having just a little is harder than having none. Remember the old Lays potatoe chip commercial? "You can't have just one?". It's true. And I celebrated that success because i struggle and I'm not always successful.

In used to think that discipline was denial. It's not! It's choosing the thing that is worth more. Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app

    Eating spicy foods

Can you eat spicy foods after surgery? If so, is there a waiting period? I plan on making some meals for the freezer and wasn't sure. Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. If I'm going to track various body measurements, are there certain ones that I should do? I'm guessing neck, upper arm, thigh, hips, waist. Am I missing something? Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app

    Body measurements

I appreciate your answers. I read the other day where someone said that they lost "x" amount of inches and I thought, " "Are there standard places to measure? Because that number will fluctuate from person to person depending on the number places that they decide to measure."

    Body measurements

I did not know that about the height/weight ratio. Good to know. And wow on the calves! I'd love to be able to wear tall boots without endlessly searching for the extended calves.
  23. After reading this thread i decided to take my 'before' pictures. I did it this morning even though i have over a month to go before surgery. (I was wearing a pretty bra and underwear set, so I figured it was a good day to do it). I read on these threads that someone said that we often don't see our own obesity. Well, I am one of those! I was shocked by what I saw, especially on my back side picture. WOW. I will do another set of before pictures with more clothing soon (maybe leggings and a tank) so that I can share one day with others. How often did you all do progress pics? And I will be saving one pair of jeans to compare later when I need motivated.
