  1. I took Emend the night before surgery, got a patch the morning of surgery and am taking zofran for 8 days post-op. Even with all that the second and third days were horrible. I would even get woken up from sleep with nausea. The fourth day was tons better and it' been better each day. It wasn't my main focus since the fourth day.
  2. I'm with you. One week out today and having the same issues. The warm broth does go down much better.
  3. Are you referring to the girl running towards the cactus? It's a ticker. You can add one by going up to the top left...where you edit your profile. If you can't find it let me know and I can write the steps. On my phone now so I can't do it. Have to do it on my computer.
  4. What are you adding for the next stage? My diet is liquids for 2 weeks.
  5. Yay! We're on the mend. So good to know we made it through yesterday and that was the toughest day. I'll take baby steps just as long as each day is a bit easier. That full blown nausea was seriously the worst!
  6. How are you feeling today? Any better? My stomach is still spasming but it's not bringing on those full blown nausea attacks. Already it's easier than yesterday even if that's the only improvement.
  7. I just made some high protein chicken broth I bought of this site. It seems easier getting the warm broth down. Try something warm and see if it helps.
  8. You could also try your primary care doctor. You just don't want to get dehydrated and wind up at the emergency room.
  9. Yes, still lots of air. I can't imagine trying to make it through without the nausea medicine. It's hard to get anything down even with the meds. I'm just going to focus on me this weekend. Sleep, eat, drink whenever I want and not beat myself up about anything.
  10. OMG, I had mine done 10/4. The nausea is insane. I can tell though that it's slightly better this afternoon. It's taken me all day but I got one protein drink in and 8 oz of water so far. I'm taking Zofran every 6 hours. It seems to last 3. The nausea actually woke me up from sleeping last night. I figure it's baby steps. My doctor prescribed 7 days of Zofran for nausea so I figure it should be gone within a week?
  11. Sorry...post-op day 1. The day after surgery. I'm a nurse.
  12. I was sleeved at 1pm on Wednesday. Great experience. No nausea or pain except when drinking - hard to get the fluids in. Was sent home yesterday (POD 1) and that's when the nausea hit - on the ride home. That was followed by pain when I got home. Rough day yesterday, but feeling much better this morning. Hoping for a good day. Think my reserves were just low yesterday. We can do this!
  13. I can only speak for my psych eval. I took a bunch of tests about different food situations. The psych then summarized a d told me what behaviors I had to focus on so I wouldt fail afterwards. It was good feedback.
  14. I hit my low on day 3. Headache and starving. Wound up eating more protein and made it through. Today is day 7 and I think I'm getting sick. Aches all over, sore throat and freezing. All I want is hot tea. I hate tea, never been my thing so that's weird. The thought of drinking a protein shake makes me nauseous. So Lind of a blessing. Just hoping I'm all better before the surgery.
  15. I slipped on day 3 and ate extra protein. I felt guilty. Isn't it crazy what we consider a slip now vs before? Lol!
  16. I have the same pre-op diet. Day 4 of 2 weeks was yesterday for me. I have a shake for breakfast and a shake for lunch, then 3 to 4 oz of lean protein for dinner with a cup of fruit and 1 to 2 cups of salad veggies. I'm a meat eater so I've skipped the fruit and eaten more meat. I cheated on Friday cause I had a bunch of steak and then leftover chicken parm. I felt horrible that I fell off the wagon on day 3. But you know what...i still lost weight. Yesterday was easy cause I was still full and today is ok. I wasn't even tempted by bacon my husband made. I decided if I couldn't stay on the diet again then I'd cheat with increased protein. Probably not a good thing to do but it's reality and better than binging on carbs. Plus we have just over a week to go until the surgery.
  17. We're sleeve sisters! I wish I had no desire to eat. I'm HUNGRY! Day 3 of the pre-op diet and I've had a headache since yesterday. Regardless, I can't wait for the 4th!
  18. Yes, that headache! I started my pre-op diet on Wednesday so this is day 3. My surgery is October 4th. Cheers to us! My hubby is very supportive and I'm here for you if you want.
  19. Chicken parmesan! Ate way too much of it. Was hurting the night before my pre-op diet started.
  20. Ok, that makes sense. I've heard your stomach makes loud noises all the time. Nothing yet to deter my from surgery on October 4th. Not even the headache I'm getting from the pre-op diet or the discovery that I'm not living the protein shakes as much as I did before (But still have the rest of the case to get through).
  21. What's this about a new smell? This is the first time I've heard that. I hope it's a good smell.
  22. I called my insurance and found out I was approved on a Friday. I then called and emailed my doctor's office over the course of the following week and finally got a reply after emailing the doctor himself. The surgery date was given to me the following Monday. So 9 days later.
  23. Yay! Me too - October 4th in Tucson, AZ. I'm super excited. Today is the first day of my pre-op diet. 2 weeks from today. I'll get nervous as it gets closer. We can do this! Anna
  24. Thanks. I couldn't find the thread, which is why i started one. Thanks for the heads up - found it.
  25. Here we go! You ready? Pre-op diet?
