  1. I threw up and dry heaved for weeks! Sometimes I could keep down a little Water if I put lime in it. And oddly enough sometimes I could take a few bite of refried Beans. My potassium got super low as well and I sipped/drank orange juice. Hope this helps!

  2. I am two years out and I take a drink of milk if magnesium every night and follow it with some Water. It is probably about I tbsp nightly. I have found this keeps me regular. I also eat veggies with every meal including Breakfast. One veggie in particular that gets my stomach moving is cauliflower especially riced. You just have to experiment to find what is right is for you.

  3. Couldn't remember my last BM. My surgeon's partner said even on my limited diet, I should be going 3 times a week. Hit the MoM this AM ,about 3 hours later had results. Not a whole lot, but smooth and soft. My ?Question: why do I no longer have lower abdominal distress? The stuff could sit in there, collect and not colonic complaint. Now that I study on it , I have not had a spontaneoussince surgery 6 weeks ago today. Am I weird,if that something my to be concerned about or will it smooth out once I am on a real food diet?
I dont know if it work out or not I am 1 1/2 years out and I take a swig of MOM everynight. It is as if my body no longers knows how to go on its own and has been this way since surgery.

  4. I'm having a really hard time coming up with something I can eat for Breakfast. I'm 7 months out and have been struggling for a couple of months now. I ate the triple zero yogurt with fruit for so long that I can't stand the smell of the yogurt by itself anymore. I couldn't eat eggs at breakfast before surgery so I'm terrified to try them now. Unfortunately there isn't much out there that has enough Protein that isn't yogurt or eggs!
Occasionally I make a chicken salad and I can eat that, but it gets old after a day or two. I have given up on ever liking tuna again, once in a while I can stomach it but not often. I had been visiting the subway in the lobby of the place I work and just getting the meat that would come on a 6inch sub but even that turns my stomach some days. I'm just at a loss. Today I tried an overnight oats recipe that was higher in Protein, but I'm not sure if that was a good idea. I wasn't able to eat lunch because I got extremely nauseous and had some stomach pains a couple of hours after eating it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd appreciate any help!

I like turkey sausage for breakfast. You can get ground, link, or patty. I usually add some squash and zuchini.

  5. And the way thingsgoing for me and tomorrow will be one month. At least 1 Miralax a day, if nothing, 2 miralax, still nothing? MoM and 75-80% it works promptly, if not it will in the morning. Almost envy you folks with loose stool, it is like my bowels or their muscles forget how to work. Maybe little in, little out?
I take a swig if MOM every night an d every morning it works! I have tried all the other stuff - miralax, benefiber etc and MOM is the best for me. I have often felt the same as you it as if my body has forgotten how to poop!

  6. Just read your post. I was wondering what kind of stent you had? I had an esophageal stent for 6 weeks after my esophagus was torn during surgery. It was awful to have that stent. Your story sounds very familiar someone that had a somewhat similar experience. I am 1 1/2 years out doing great and i do not regret the surgery but it does still haunt me at times what all i went through. I also think that i am more committed to keeping the weight off since i almost died for it.

  7. I got GENEPRO but folks on another site said it's not good and they list a lawsuit. I haven't been able to prove that yet. If anyone knows anything about that that can be proven please let me know. I love genepro, but want to make sure it's really 30g of Protein.< br>
