  1. Woah! What an inspiration! Bravo!!!!
  2. Awesome job! [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]
  3. That’s awesome news! I had my surgery on 1/2/18. So glad the really hard part is over. Good luck to you!
  4. Thanks everyone. My gut still hurts, but I know I t will get better with each passing day.
  5. I love the CRAP acronym!!!!! Perfect! Had surgery (VSG) on Tuesday, 1/2/18.
  6. For those of you who had surgery on 1/2/18: how is it going? I am still in pain; actually it was getting a bit better, but my significant other coughed while I was sleeping and I woke up with a start and felt like I tore something. As for fluids, I am barely getting in 20 oz a day. The one positive thing I can say is that I have no appetite at all. Hopefully it gets better. Good luck to all.
  7. Wow! You look GREAT! What an awesome journey for you. Inspiring!
  8. In a little over 8 hours I will be arriving at the hospital to have VSG. Wish me luck!
  9. If you like coffee as much as I do, I found a delicious high Protein Powder called Chike (see attached pics). I mix it with Fairlife fat-free milk (because it’s higher in Protein than regular fat-free milk) and also about 2 ounces of a chocolate Protein Shake. I mix it in a Nutri Ninja blender with about 3 ice cubes. Honestly, I tastes like a thin milkshake to me and I just love it!
  10. Hi! I am currently doing the pre-op diet and I lost 13 pounds the first week. I started my second week about 4 days ago and have lost 1 additional pound. My plan is heavy on protein shakes (3-4 per day), 1 sugar-free popsicle, 1 sugar-free jello, plus I can have up to 2 cups of very specific vegetables (list attached). I drink Premier clear protein fruit punch, Crystal Light, water, and low-sodium broth as well. I was told to make sure I get at least 90-120 grams of protein per day and 80 ounces or more total of all fluids.
  11. I lost 13 pounds the first week of the pre-op diet. 4 days into my second week and so far I have dropped 1 more pound.
  12. My surgery is also 1/2/18 and I am on day 12 of my pre-op diet. I was kind of upset/angry that my team made me start the diet on 12/15/17 because that is closer to 3 weeks, but I know they did so because I had actually gained weight in the months leading up to getting a definitive surgery date. I am, as of today, down 14 pounds. 6 more days to go.
  13. You are not alone. My surgery date is also 1/2/18. I am trying very hard to stick with the plan! Good luck to you!
  14. Woah!!! Looking fabulous! Inspirational!
  15. Target sells 4 packs of Premier - maybe a flavor other than chocolate would appeal to you? I love the bananas & cream flavor!
  16. Wow! Before/after pics is one of the things that keeps me motivated. You look fantastic! Great job!
  17. Yay to me!!!! Finished first week of pre-op diet: down 13 pounds! One week ago I weighed in at 229; today: 216. That will keep me motivated in the coming week.
  18. That’s my mantra too! (New Year, new me!). I am getting sleeved on 1/2/18. When are you having your surgery? I am currently on day 6 of the pre-op diet.
  19. I haven’t had surgery yet, but I really miss coffee. I ended up buying some Chike Coffee Protein powder (20g whey protein, 2g sugar) and mix it with Fairlife fat free milk (13g protein, 6g sugar) and I limit myself to one per day. Honestly I consider it an indulgence and love the taste.
