Hey readytorunagain -
I've followed the plan my team set for me, get my Protein in every day, walk 30 minutes every day, try to get over 10K steps each day. I started the Couch25K program after one month and I'm almost through it. I keep working my program and it's not always easy but every day is a new day to do it right!

I can't believe I'm typing this! I'm so close and it doesn't feel out of reach. Sure, it might take me a few more months to get there but I don't mind. I'm thrilled with my progress. At 14 weeks out I've lost 78 pounds. Keep it up to those just starting the journey. Its not always easy but it is worth it!

Coffeelark got a reaction from Sosewsue61 in Two days of clears is AWFUL
I've been dreading the liquid pre-op diet so much that I started it 2 days early so I could just get on with it and stop the anxiety/dread. About to end day 2, which was way easier than day 1. I don't dread the surgery or fluids after when my stomach will be smaller and sore. I almost backed out, I had gotten so worked up dreading this part.

Coffeelark reacted to Allie589 in Ideas on what to tell work
I ended up having a massive hiatal hernia that he fixed while in there so I tell people I had hernia surgery. I'm really close with a group of ladies I've been taking Pilates with for a couple years, and I'll be out for about 6 weeks bc of my "hernia surgery." They keep asking where I am and if I'm ok so I told our instructor and she passed the info on.

Coffeelark reacted to SippinAintEasy in Ideas on what to tell work
My go to explanation is that I had surgery for some digestive issues. Only one person has probed further and I told them it wasn't my fav thing to talk about because it's kinda personal. I think people just assume I had some bowel issue. I debated not telling anyone anything but that didn't seem realistic. Now, post op, ppl understand why I'm eating weird or less and I don't feel like I have to hide my fatigue, and I've been given the space and understanding to recover without having to "hide."
